• the attention of most people has been drawn towards social network platforms, online news, email, and blogs. People’s focus at work has been reduced, and we are becoming increasingly and easily distracted. When the brain gets accustomed to such a mode of operation, we are like drifters in deep space who have lost control over our own thoughts.

• As smartphones and tablet computers become increasingly more intelligent, we become even more constantly connected to the many services of the Internet. • few students can now finish reading a book from start to finish.

• What used to take many days for research can now be achieved in seconds with the shower of information provided by Google. Similarly, this has the effect of making our thoughts shallow as the vast amount of information cannot be fully absorbed and processed by us into meaningful knowledge. Summary• When the many online services become a distraction, and

being a mindless recipient of information has become the norm, we become susceptible to an intentional brainwashing (e.g. brand worship). We fall into the control of would-be manipulators. Used for political, educational, business, or religious intentions, mindless searching for information online without the need to makes a decision turns people into Neuromancers.

present• The work utilizes the Internet and new media to

present a form of “internet interactive installation.” The media integrates image recognition and projection technologies with electronic hardware as well as game-like interactive experiences.

• Through projection, physical installation, and electronic sensors, a “Pinball Machine” commonly seen in Taiwan’s traditional night markets is simulated. It is similar to the ones seen in other countries.
