 Be Safe.

Parents should drop off students along either Kosciusko St. or S. Fayette.

  Students riding bikes should enter and exit the

sidewalk off of Grove St. on the North side of the building. Bikes should be walked on school grounds.

 Be Respectful. 

After breakfast or between 7:30 – 7:45, primary students will sit quietly along their lockers; intermediate students will sit quietly in the gym. Teachers will pick up students at 7:45 bell.

Listen to and obey all adults at school.

  Be Responsible.

Those eating breakfast should eat between 7:30 and 7:45 a.m.

After the first bell at 7:45, go directly to your classroom and be seated by 8:00. If flag by office is raised, go straight to your classroom.

School begins promptly at 8:00 – students must be in the classroom by the 8:00 bell; if students are not in the classroom by the bell, they must get a tardy pass from the office.

Dismissal   Be Safe.

   

  Students who are picked up by a parent/guardian

should go to the front of the school on Kosciusko Street and wait for parent/guardian’s vehicle to come to a stop in the crosswalk. Students should load on the right side of vehicle with adult assistance unless the vehicle is parked on the curb.

Students who are riding day care buses should go to the black top area and line up in their day care bus line.

Students riding bikes should enter and exit the sidewalk off of Grove St. on the North side of the building. Bikes should be walked on school grounds

  Listen to and obey all adults at school. 

 Be Responsible.

  Leave school grounds quickly and appropriately. Once you leave the building, you need adult permission

to re-enter.

Be Safe. Seat to seat & back to back. Ride in your assigned seat. Comply with all safety rules

 

Be Respectful. Respect seats & property. Keep hands to yourself. Use kind voices and words. Respect bus driver and all bus riders

Hallway Be Safe. 

  

Walk in the hallway and on the stairs. Keep your hands to yourself

 

  Be Respectful.

  Students and staff must be silent at all times. Stay together and to the right on the stairs, and to

the center of the hall. Yield to the right. 

 

 Be Responsible.

 Be Safe.

  Keep feet on the floor Wash and dry hands quickly

  

 Be Respectful.

  Writing utensils stay in the classroom. Use quiet voices.

Respect others’ privacy

 

 Be Responsible.

  Flush toilets when finished. Keep water in the sink and paper towels

in the trash can. Promptly return to your classroom.

Playground and Recess 

Be Safe. 

Use equipment and playground properly and safely.

Remain in your assigned area on the playground.

 Be Respectful. 

  

Cooperate with others-staff and students. 

 Be Responsible. 

  Walk quickly and line up quietly after first

whistle is blown. Once in line, stay in line.

Library and Media Center Be Safe. 

  

Only go to pre-approved internet sites. 

  Be Respectful.

  

Come in quietly and be seated. Treat computers and books properly. Listen and follow directions. Be kind to all persons in the Media Center.

  

  Be Responsible. 

  Have materials and/or supplies with you. Return library books each week.

Cafeteria/Lunch Be Safe. 

  Sharing food is unacceptable. Stay seated until dismissed. Leave in a single

file line. 

 Be Respectful. 

  Use inside voices. Respect all adults and students. Raise your hand for help. Use good table manners. 

 Be Responsible. 

  Food must be eaten in order to receive seconds. Clean up your table.

Dress Code Be Safe.

  Wear clothing that fits current weather conditions. Accessories such large necklaces/chains, etc….should not

be worn to school by boys or girls. Shoes should be safe and proper for school activities.

Tennis shoes are required for P.E. class.

 Be Respectful.

  Clothing with inappropriate messages should not be worn to

school. Accessories such as head scarves, hats, .should not be worn to school by boys or girls.

Jeans should be free from large holes. No hair dye.

  Be Responsible.

  Clothing should fit the body appropriately. Students wearing baggy

shorts or pants, short-shorts, etc. ….will be asked to return home with possible consequences assigned.

Shirts and blouses may be sleeveless, however spaghetti straps and low-neck shirts are unacceptable. All shirts should cover the stomach and back. All clothing must cover you appropriately, including shorts and skirts.

Make up (such as eye shadow, lip gloss, lipstick, etc.) should NOT be worn at school

Other1. Cell phones are to be turned off and out of sight at all

times while on school grounds.

2. Electronic devices are to be off and in back packs while on school grounds.

3. Skateboards cannot be ridden on school grounds.
