Sharing the Magic of Live Theatre Welcome to e Acting Company, your non-profit community theatre. It was about 28 years ago that it all started as “eatre 86.” After finding our current home in 1992, we changed the name to “e Acting Company.” 2012 will bring us seven Mainstage shows and six Magic eatre productions. In addition, we will continue our monthly Saturday morning Children’s Acting Classes and a Summer eatre Workshop which will culminate in the production of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs of the Black Forest” in September. Although we are a community theatre, many top productions and top actors have graced our stage. Over the past few years, we have received scores of nominations for “Elly Awards” by the 85 member Sacramento Area Regional eatre Alliance (SARTA). In 2011, we received an astounding 17 nominations and seven awards, including for Best Overall Children’s Play, “Wolf Side Story” (which also won three other awards). We must give kudos to our more than 100 actors, more than 50 other volunteers and our board members each year for their dedication to producing quality theatre. e magic of live theatre cannot happen without the generous support of our patrons and local businesses and organizations. anks to you, we can continue to produce quality performing arts productions and offer opportunities that bolster teamwork, imagination, confidence and artistic talent.
