    WHAT IS REFORMISTA?

What is REFORMISTA? We have been called many names, not the most inaccurate being a Political Party,

but we would prefer to be known as a group of civic-minded individuals who are service-oriented and who

believe in the transformative power of the Lycean student body. REFORMISTA places the value of public

service FIRST, we hope to achieve this by providing the best possible candidates from the start. As evinced by

the strong academic and leadership background of all our candidates, we ensure that we provide the most

qualified person for each of the positions we fill. This information is crucial for our voters to make the right

decision about who should represent them in important matters which would directly affect them. We at

REFORMISTA understand this, that is why we encourage everyone to pose questions to any of our candidates

during the MITING DE AVANCE this Thursday, MARCH 14 or when you bump into any of them in the hallway

or street. You may also request a personal information sheet on all of our candidates, free of charge. It is

    your RIGHT to be informed.

We at REFORMISTA feel that change is inevitable, not only of people but also of attitudes and mindsets about

what it really means to be part of the LSG. There are responsibilities that still need to be borne by shoulders

strengthened and buttressed with years of achievement and hard work. We at REFORMISTA believe that

with your VOTE ON FRIDAY, MARCH 15, we can make it happen. WE HAVE DONE IT BEFORE; in academic

and extra-curricular endeavors in schools, companies and the businesses we have separately made

successful. Its all there for the world to see. Allow us to do it for LYCEUM.

We believe that the basic framework for success is already there. All that is required is to tie up the loose

ends and to elect people with the political will, and the proven capacity to get the job done the RIGHT

way. We offer our services to you, our Lycean brothers and sisters, fellows in our pursuit of greatness.

Lets keep our moral sense of justice intact.

Thats who WE are, without all the bells and whistles.

We are REFORMISTA. Leadership through Service, Service through Unity.

    Why REFORMISTA?

REFORMISTA takes its name from a personal perspective of the word REFORM. As REFORMISTAS, we

recognize that a structure is already present and functioning in the halls of Lyceum, but being proactive men

and women of honor, we see certain things about the system and student body which need changing from the

    inside out.

REFORMISTA is a non-affiliated party. While our members may have personal affiliations with different

fraternities and sororities, our party stands on its own ideology, our own principles consistent with the

    concepts of justice and fairness.

Whats the meaning of the regalia of REFORMISTA?

    The Name See above.

The Star The star symbolizes excellence. It crowns our logo signifying the importance we place on the

pursuit of excellence in everything we do: we believe that only when one can demand excellence from oneselfcan one expect the same from others. The star is also symbolic of the integrity we demand from each and

every member of REFORMISTA, serving as our Polaris, a star which never changes its place in the sky even

    when everything around it turns.

The Color The color symbolizes hope. It is the color of a fierce refusal to bend against adversity. It is also

the color of stewardship; a commitment to take care of what is given in trust.

The Party Line Leadership through Service, Service through Unity.

What are the Core Values of REFORMISTA?

We believe in three core values: Integrity, Service and Capacity. The three core values without which, noGovernment can be successful. Integrity in Service: to maintain the public trust. Capacity in Service: to

ensure its success to gain public trust. To be a successful administration the flow of effects must be fluid and

uninterrupted. It is the cycle between the three values which would dictate the pace at which the

administration will operate. With any of these missing, and government will be no more than a collection of

people protecting everybodys self-interest. These three values are at the heart of REFORMISTA, and it flows

in the veins of all its members and candidates.

What is the vision of REFORMISTA for Lyceum Law?

The vision of REFORMISTA for Lyceum Law is simple. We envision Lyceum Law to be the best school to learn

not only the law, but also the best place to learn it. The vision entails the development of a more socially

involved Lycean student, not only with matters within school, but also on issues which affect the world at

large. We aim for a unified student body, a logistically responsive environment, a working academic support

mechanism and a transparent, accountable student government. We believe that with these ingredients,

students would feel more inspired to study, would learn how to be professional and it would lead to them

being better prepared to take the bar, and to become better, principled, and responsible lawyers in the future.

They shall carry with them the flame kindled by REFORMISTA to shun wrongdoing and to fight for what is

right. This is what we hope would be our legacy.

    What makes a PERFECT LYCEAN?

The perfect Lycean is one who proudly calls this school his or her own. Unafraid to acknowledge their faults,

ready to serve with all their heart, but balances the same with their academics. Perfect Lyceans are neither

full-blooded, nor are they transferees. They arenot Brods or Siss, they are their own persons despite

their chosen affiliations. Perfect Lyceans transcend labels, they think for themselves and they value excellence

above all. There is a Perfect Lycean in each of us. All that is required is to find it and set it free.
