Thank you for your interest in the International Association of Drilling Contractors. Membership in IADC is available to all companies engaged in drilling operations or related businesses and who support IADC’s goals of improving safety and environmental protection; advancing drilling technology; enhancing training; and championing regulations and legislation conducive to efficient, safe and environmentally sound drilling operations.

At the same time, individual participation in IADC is what fuels the Association’s activities and initiatives. Opportunities to interact with the global drilling community are available through IADC committees and operating divisions, conferences, publications and our worldwide network of chapters.

To join, complete and return to IADC the appropriate sections of this application, as outlined below. Your company may qualify for one or more membership categories:

1. Contractor: Companies who own or operate land or offshore drilling or well-servicing rigs must join as Contractor Members. Please complete and return sections A, B, C and G;

2. Producer: Companies engaged in exploring for and producing oil, natural gas or geothermal energy. IADC Producer members include major oil companies, independent, state-owned firms, research branches of producing firms and turnkey companies. Please complete and return sections A, B, D and G;

3. Associate: Companies providing technical services, equipment manufacturers, consultants, academics, training institutions, and others with a strong interest in the worldwide drilling industry. Please complete and return sections A, B, E, F and G.

C. Contractor Dues WorksheetIADC Contractor dues are based on the number and type of drilling or well-servicing rigs owned or operated/managed under charter or lease. Minimum dues are $300, and maximum dues are $30,000. As an IADC member, you are entitled to have the details of your rig fleet published both in the Annual IADC Membership Directory and on our website (iadc.org). So that we can publish the most complete information possible, please fill in the number of rigs of each type your company owns or operates under charter or lease. Then be sure to fill in the information under “Operating Areas or Regions” for each rig type. Operating Areas or Regions can specify countries or states/provinces (UK, Wyoming, Nigeria, etc) or drilling markets (North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, etc).

D. Producer Dues WorksheetIADC Producer dues are based on the size of the company, as determined by overall production rate (measured in barrels of oil equivalent per day). Special rates are also available for research subsidiaries of producing firms and for turnkey operators. Please check the classification that best describes your company.
