2012 Lineman Challenge Philosophy
This Competition is a greatopportunity to get your lineman
workingon competing together, whileestablishing unit chemistry.
The Lineman Challenge allows players to
use body control, balance, quickness,agility and strength!
The Competition will also incorporateexplosiveness, foot
movement, andleverage---staples of line play!!
The Lineman Challenge is a special eventjust for the guys up
front. This is a
chance for them to show their skills,have fun and compete
against eachother.

BIG GUYS up front!?!

Important Competition Notes
You must compete as a Six (6) man team. Schools may enter
multiple teams. All competitors and coaches will receive a
Tshirt. Teams may wear team identification. Wear work out gear.
Cleats and football gloves are allowed.
Each team is required to have a coachpresent at the competition.
Due to injury a team may finish with five
(5) lineman. Individual Competition will begin after
registration. Team Competition will begin after a 1 hour
lunch break. We will have a concession stand available. No
Refunds after June 1, 2012. This is a rain or shine event!
All competitors must have High School
eligibility for the 2012 season.
All participants must play and have a roster position on
the line for at least one side of the ball. Anyone found
trying to beat the rules will be disqualified and bannedfrom
future Lineman Challenges!

Individual Competition
Competition begins after registration
1. Bench Press
30 seconds to rep out as
manyproper reps with 185 lbs.
2. One Man SledPush the one man sled 25 yards,
staying in the course.
3. Tractor Tire Flip
Player must flip the tractortire 10 times, while staying in the
course.
4. Tire Toss
Player must throw the Auto tirefor distance, within the
course.
5. Man on a Mission
Player must work his way throughan obstacle course in an effort
to sackthe QB.
Space is limited get your guys registered early
Team Competition
Competition begins after lunch
1. Team Bench Press
Total repetitions will be addedtogether from the
individualcompetition.
2. Team Sled Push
A 5 man sled must be pushed 25yards, while staying withinthe
course.
3. Obstacle Course
A relay style course.Team members must choose whoruns what
leg.
4. Farmers Walk
Starting on the goal line carryingtwo 80 lb dumbbells to
theirpartner 25 yards away.
5. Tug of War
Teams are 10 yards apart.1 minute time limit on stalemate.Pull
the flag over the line.
Points awarded 10 pts for 1st, 9 for 2nd, 8
for 3rd, etc
AWARDS1. The Iron Lineman
This award goes to the top athletewith the best cumulative score
inall events.
2. Iron LineTo the TEAM with the
best cumulative score in all events.3. Awards also given out to
the top finishersin both the team and individual competition.
