Divide class into sports groups then into groups of five based on last week’s performance. Other groups will do team sports.

Briskly divide into sports groups and groups of five.

Notes The five top sports of dominance in our school and country are Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Football and Netball. These sports are done with special emphasis placed on active participation

Allow students to do a 4 lap race and the body harnace drill. Engage them in a races for times.

Participate in the race focusing on finishing the race in the fastest time possible.

ReinforcerReasons for doing the various activities done.

Allow students to do cool down exercise at the end of each race. Ensure deep breath stretches are done.

At the end of each race each group will engage in their cool down activity and stretches.

Assignment Which African country is

famous for 5000m athletes.

Notes and ReviewIntense preparation requires intense

safety. Safety first.
