BUSINESS PROFILE
FINDINGS
Nacap is a leading pipeline and HDD construction contractor providing engineering, procurement, construction, management and maintenance services to LNG, Oil, Gas, Water and mining sectors.
• Daily plant and equipment inspections not always properly completed • Some operators did not know how to correctly inspect machinery fully • Documentation was lengthy and sometimes unclear • Old and ineffective methods of delivery. We identified that to communicate our Safety Procedures effectively and consistently we had to enhance the way we educated our workers.

Heerema Porto Amboim
Heerema & Remar
REMAR, January 2012:
Remar is a global organization which helps young people to get back on track again;
orphans, homeless and addicted young kids.
In Porto Amboim, Remar has a boys shelter with a capacity of 50 boys.
They are dependent on the support of the local population and Heerema Porto
Amboim Lda.
In a poor country like Angola that is a challenge.

We CAN make a difference
Sustainable support
With a team of responsible
employees we monitor REMAR’s needs
periodically.
We liaise with the group leaders of
Remar and try to comply with their
needs.
The facilities are maintained in a
durable way by HPA and through
donations we will expand the
possibilities for education and personal development of the boys so they face a brighter
future.
As of this year HPA makes several trainee positions available for boys that completed
their Remar program and are now facing the re-socialization in the community.
