    Gooseberry Point Ferry Terminal

    Improvements

    This project will improve docking and mooring

    improvements, including reconstructing wingwalls,

    which help guide ferries safely to the dock at

    Gooseberry Point.

    $400,000 Ferry Boat Discretionary

    Lopez Terminal Trestle Pavement

    Rehabilitation

    This project will rehabilitate dock and pavement near

    the Lopez Terminal Trestle.$600,000 Ferry Boat Discretionary

    Washington State Ferries Vessel

    Renovations

    This project will provide new power assemblies and

    boiler burners which will improve fuel efficiency and

    reduce emissions on up to seven vessels King, Kitsap,

    San Juan and Skagit Counties.

    Visual Paging System - 10 Terminals

    This project will create an announcement system

    using display screens to keep hearing-impaired

    passengers informed in King, Pierce, Thurston Island,San Juan, Skagit and Snohomish Counties.

    $700,000 Ferry Boat Discretionary

    MV Yakima and Kaleetan PA System and

    General Alarm

    This project will replace the public announcement

    and general alarm systems, keeping them in

    compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations.

    $900,000 Ferry Boat Discretionary

    Skagit County Guemes Ferry Dolphin

    Replacement

    This project will replace five creosote-treated

    dolphins with steel dolphins at the Anacortes

    Terminal. Dolphins serve as guiding posts for ferry

    vessels to make a safe approach to the landing dock.

    $1,200,000 Ferry Boat Discretionary

    I-90/Snoqualmie Pass in Hyak

    This project will use state-of-the-art barrier

    delineators and lane markers on I-90 over

    Snoqualmie Pass to improve nighttime and inclement

    weather driving and require less repair and

    maintenance.

    SR 99, Alaskan Way Viaduct Northbound in

    Seattle

    The project proposes to use innovative materials

    such as Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) that can fully

    recover its form after a seismic event.

    North Cascades Scenic Highway Mazama

    Lucky Jim Viewshed Protection

    The project will protect and conserve scenic views

    from the byway near the gateway community of

    Mazama, Washington which serves as a gateway for

    travelers.

    Yakima River Canyon Scenic Byway Visitor

    Center

    This project will fund the construction of a new

    visitor center at the northern gateway to the byway

    at Helen McCabe Park.

    White Pass Scenic Byway Mossyrock Dam

    Viewpoint and Safety Improvements

    This project will enhance safety and visitor

    information on White Pass Scenic Byway by

    providing a safe deceleration lane from the highway,

    an accessible overlook and signage.

    The project will improve safety and access byproviding visitor parking and constructing an

    accessible shelter.

    Management Plan Update

    This project will update the corridor management

    plan for the entire 86 miles of the Chinook Byway.$59,495 National Scenic Byways

    Engineering Assessment for Access

    Preservation

    This project will develop an engineering assessment

    for the Upper Hoh Road the only road connecting

    Scenic Byway US 101 to the Hoh Rain Forest in

    Olympic National Park that was damaged by heavy

    storms.

    Access

    This project will improve road safety by upgrading

    five miles of existing gravel roads, widening, paving

    some segments and installing larger stream passage

    culverts.

    This project will upgrade signaling and install

    advanced preemption at a crossing adjacent to the

    intersection of 37th Street NW and B Street NW in

    Auburn.

    King County Park-and-Ride Pricing in Multi-

    Family Developments

    To address a regional shortage in parking spaces at

    park and ride facilitates, the project will facilitate the

    paid use of parking spaces that are vacated during

    the day in multifamily neighborhoods along transit

    routes in the Seattle area, thereby allowing more useof public transit.

    Express Toll lanes Continuous Access

    Demonstration

    This project introduces continuous-access priced

    lanes, which allows paying customers to access HOT

    lanes from the general purpose lanes at any point for

    a fee.
