Welcome to our 2012 Master Catalog!

I am very excited to share with you our newly redesigned catalog.

Immediately, you will notice that we have combined all of the

divisions of DynaFlex into one complete master catalog. This was

a major accomplishment by many of our fine people and we hope

that you will enjoy the ease and convenience of having everything

in one catalog right at your fingertips.

As you will see, we have made a tremendous investment into

the future of digital orthodontics by opening up our newest

division 3D.Ortho. This division is wholly focused on bringing digital

technology to every office in the country and then integrating that

technology with laboratory manufacturing, bringing you the

most efficient and accurate appliances in the industry.

In 2011, the FDA granted DynaFlex 510k clearance on

several snoring and sleep apnea devices; now we are the

only laboratory in the country with eight FDA cleared

snoring and sleep apnea devices. Snoring and sleep

apnea are rising at an alarming rate and we believe

utilizing intraoral devices for treatment of this disease can

be an effective and secure way to help your patients.

I want to personally thank each and every customer for

their loyal support in 2011. Thanks to you, it was the most

successful year in our history. The future for DynaFlex has never

been brighter. Even after 46 years of manufacturing high quality

appliances and products; I truly feel that our most exciting years are

Best Fit Guarantee You demand it . . . DynaFlex® guarantees it! Our appliances fit the first time every time. All of our appliances are fabricated by experienced, knowledgeable and highly skilled laboratory technicians. To assure quality, only the highest premium materials are used in appliance fabrication.

How to Send a Case Accurate working models and an appropriate construction bite are required. Please pour working models in orthodontic stone. Check impressions for any “pulling in” of the alginate material away from the impression trays to help eliminate model shrinkage and distortion. For accurate working models, all impressions should be poured as soon as possible. Prescriptions can be downloaded at www.dynaflex.com. If your practice is equipped with an orthodontic scanner and you can obtain an .stl file from the scan, these files can be transferred to DynaFlex electronically for appliance fabrication.

Delivery Times LAB - Normal scheduling is 3 to 5 days in Lab. To be sure your appliances are delivered promptly, please utilize the “date wanted” box on all your prescription forms with a specific date. It is important to allow 2 days shipping each way when scheduling your cases. Same day lab service is available on most appliances at no additional cost. Please allow 5-10 busi-ness days for EZ-Align cases.

SLEEP - Please allow 5 – 10 business days for Sleep Apnea Appliances.

PRODUCTS - DynaFlex® makes every effort to ship all orders the same day when placed before 2pm.

Shipping & Handling To avoid damage, we recommend that each model is wrapped individually. All models should be marked with both the patient and doctor’s name for proper identification.

LAB - For shipping your cases to DynaFlex®, we provide convenient postage free mailing labels. A postage paid label is available on our website. All your cases will be returned guaranteed 2-Day UPS for a small shipping and handling fee. OVERNIGHT DELIVERY is also available for an additional charge.

PRODUCTS - All product orders are shipped UPS Ground. 2nd Day and Next Day Air available upon request.

Retainer Assurance When you purchase Retainer Assurance you are guaranteed a one time replacement of your retainer. The certificate is good for six months and is only valid on retainers.

Changing the Way You Practice...Forever!

3D.Ortho™, a division of DynaFlex®, is now accepting .stl files from

all major digital scanning companies for appliance fabrication.

With the technology behind our Objet Rapid Prototyping Printers, DynaFlex®

can print models and start appliance fabrication with the click of a mouse.

In 2011, orthodontics reached a new milestone: the

ability to become alginate free. 3D.Ortho™ a division

of DynaFlex® began offering alginate-free appliance

fabrication in January of 2011. This means that your

practice can use an intra-oral scanner to scan your

patient and send that electronic file to DynaFlex for

appliance manufacture. We will then send that file

to our rapid prototyping printer which will create

or “grow” an exact replica model from your file that

will be sent to our technicians in the laboratory.

DynaFlex® can also accept any open .stl file from most

major scanner manufacturers including Cadent™,

Motionview3d and 3Shape. We can also provide your

practice with digital model storage if you do not own

Send Your Digital Scan Files for FabricationIs your office equipped with an IntraOral or Desktop Scanner?

DynaFlex can now accept your .STL files for appliance fabrication

Why send your .stl files to DynaFlex? DynaFlex is

able to print your scanned orthodontic case on our

Rapid Prototyping Printers into a physical working

model. These models can then be sent into our

laboratory for appliance fabrication. The model-

building material is a non-toxic durable material that

does not break easily like plaster and stone models.

The accuracy of the model is outstanding and the

appliance fit is better than ever!

VMS, Virtual Model Security is similar to insurance.

For a nominal charge, DynaFlex will digitally back

up your models or impressions that were used for

appliance fabrication. Should your patient break or

lose their appliance, with one phone call we can use

these digital files to remake the appliance.

ABO Based Study Models can be printed on our

Objet printers. Any case you store with DynaFlex can

be printed into a physical form with the ABO base

attached. These models have accurate and correct

dimensions according to the ABO standards.

Digitize Your Existing Impressions

With each DMS case you will receive a digital model

that you can easily manipulate on your computer

screen and a .pdf that contains six views of the case

in a 1:1 ratio. All cases are stored forever in five

different locations all meeting HIPA standards. If your

patient breaks or loses their appliance, you can order

a replacement with a simple phone call.

Digital Model Storage saves you time and space!

Traditional time consuming, dusty and less accurate

model making steps are eliminated when you send

DynaFlex your upper and lower impressions and

a bite registration. We scan the impressions and,

within very short order, you will receive back digital

scans of your models via our DynaFlex File Portal.

Dorsal ApplianceOriginally designed as a nighttime TMD splint, the Dorsal appliance has evolved into one of the most popular choices for snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. The two piece construction allows for patient comfort and lateral jaw movement. The Dorsal fins on the mandibular appliance interface with inclines built into the buccal of the upper appliance to dictate a specific mandibular position. The appliance is traditionally fabricated with adjustable screws in the maxillary appliance to allow for further mandibular advancement. This appliance can be fabricated in a variety of materials including acrylic, dual laminate or thermal splint material.

TAP® 1, TAP® 3 & TAP® 3 Elite Thornton Adjustable PositionerThis two piece appliance is the newest addition to the TAP® family of appliances. The TAP® 3 is fully adjustable, both in a vertical and horizontal plane, providing dentists the ability to locate the ideal mandibular position for their patient. This custom appliance is fabricated with separate upper and lower trays. The maxillary component utilizes an adjustable screw and hook which interfaces with a lower socket to hold the mandible in the desired position.

LISA®The LISA® appliance was developed by Dr. Harry Legan, an orthodontist who spent 32 years in academics and recently retired from Vanderbilt University. The LISA® appliance is a one piece, non-adjustable design that is easy to place and very comfortable for the patient. It should be selected in cases where the doctor has determined the most desirable forward position of the mandible and will not be adjusting throughout treatment. It is a very effective, valued priced option for patients compared to other devices.

LISA II®Developed by Dr. Harry Legan, the LISA II® is a dynamic, adjustable design. This appliance will allow the doctor to advance the mandible throughout treatment by use of the two adjustment screws located in the maxillary arch. This appliance is often used in cases where the doctor has not identified a specific mandibular position and will need to adjust the position during treatment.

Adjustable Herbst® ApplianceThe adjustable Herbst® is a two piece construction held together by two adjustment mechanisms on the buccal or outer area of the upper and lower appliance. The adjustment mechanisms are designed for the doctor to incrementally advance the mandible to the desired position. This appliance is desirable for the patient that wants a minimal amount of acrylic to preserve as much tongue space and would like the adjustment capability.

EMA®The Elastic Mandibular Advancement appliance is the smallest of our obstruction sleep apnea appliances. The individual trays are constructed of 2mm vacuum form material and are held together with straps of varying lengths and flexibility. These straps provide unsurpassed lateral movement and comfort as well as dictating the amount of mandibular advancement. These straps are positioned between the teeth and cheek leaving the palate free from obstruction.
