April 13Welcome to Cal State Fullerton Day
All freshmen must submit test scores from either
the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT I) of the College
Board or the American College Testing program
(ACT) regardness of grade point average. If you
are applying for fall admission, you should take
the test no later than early December and request
that your scores be sent to Cal State Fullerton.
Registration forms and dates for the SAT or ACT are available from high
school or college counselors or from a CSU campus testing office.
Please Note: If the SAT or ACT test is taken more than once, we will give
students the benefit of the highest overall scores received, instead of the
highest scores received at an individual sitting. CSUF does not include the
writing scores from either of the admissions tests in the computation of the
CSU Eligibility Index.
Eligibility Index To calculate your eligibility index, take your total SAT I
score, add it to 800 x your high school GPA OR 10 x your ACT composite
score (critical reading and math) plus 200 x your high school GPA.
ACT writing score is not considered in the composite score.

5Important Points to Remember• Cal State Fullerton is an impacted campus at
the freshman level, which means that there are
more applications for our campus than we
can accommodate. As a result, all freshman
applicants, whether in our local admissions
area or outside the local admissions area, must
anticipate meeting higher levels of competition
