LEED Gold Certifi cation Event Hudson River Community Credit Union Thursday, April 19th 11:30 AM

A gathering was held on Thursday, April 19th in celebration of Hudson River Community Credit Union’s Troy Branch receiving a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold rating for its energy effi cient design and use of sustainable construction materials.

Youth Fingerprinting Event Hudson River Community Credit Union Saturday, April 21st 9 am - 1 pm

On Saturday, April 21st, a fi ngerprinting event was held at the Corinth branch. Area youth were invited to have their fi ngerprint documented by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department. The event helped HRCCU to kickstart National Credit Union Youth Week. HRCCU Event Scrapbook

All youth who were fi ngerprinted were given a card that contained their fi ngerprint along with important biographical information such as date, gender, height and weight.

Earth Week Recycling Event Hudson River Community Credit Union Saturday, April 21st 9 AM - Noon

An Electronics Recycling Event was held on Saturday, April 21st in celebration of Earth Week. This event helped HRCCU to close out a week full of events and promotions surrounding Earth Week.

A larrge recycling truck helped us to promote Saturday;s Earth Day Electronics Recycling Event.

Marc from eLots unloads one of over 40 vehicles that participated in our event.

This Recycling event accepted electronic components vacuum cleaners, air conditioners, computers and more.

Members and non-members appreciated our Electronics Recyling Event. These folks even became members that day!

Another non-member returned to schedule an appointment to discuss a Home Equity Loan!

Hudson River Community Credit Union CEO Sue Commanda was one of six women honored at the 2012 Women of Influence luncheon sponsored by the Saratoga Today Newspaper. Over 180 were in attendance at the event. Sue and the other winners were included in a special edition of the weekly Saratoga Today news.

Memories on Wheels Car Show Corinth, NY Monday, May 28, 2012

HRCCU Corinth branch staff were on hand at the recent “Memories on Wheels” car show that took place on Memorial Day in Corinth, NY. The show offered 50 - 75 classic cars for viewing. HRCCU was the only fi nancial institution present and our staff fi elded many inquiries and requests for membership as a result.

Memorial Day Parade Hudson Falls, NY Monday, May 28, 2012

HRCCU Hudson Falls branch staff, their families and members of HRCCU’s Marketing & Communications and Business Development Team participated in the Village of Hudson Falls Memorial Day Parade. We were honored to be joined by two World War II Veterans, Mr. Sal Marcantonio and Mr. Jim Williams.

Erika Williams drives a 2012 Mustang Convertible provided to us for the day by Queensbury Auto Mall. Sitting in the Mustang with Erika is Mr. Jim Williams, a 92-year old Veteran who served as a

pilot in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

Over 300 Credit Union member/owners, their families and friends enjoyed a fantastic day of sun, fun, food and excitement at Hudson River Community Credit Union’s first ever “FUN Day at the Great Escape,” Sunday, July 22nd. Attendees were treated to park admission, parking, lunch buffet and soft drinks at a great discount.

Thanks to our great participation, we were able to raise over $650 for charity! Thanks to the Great Escape for donating the free soft drinks for our fundraiser. It was greatly appreciated on such a hot day!

More than 1,100 local baseball fans and Credit Union members turned out for HRCCU’s Celebration of Local Community Heroes at East Field in Glens Falls on Friday, June 23rd. Pregame activities included recognition of a number of local community heroes and a special ceremonial first pitch.HRCCUEventScrapbook

As a part of our continuing commitment to local Community Heroes, Hudson River Community Credit Union was the sole sponsor of Heroes Week at the Great Escape in Lake George. Our sponsorship provided free park admission to military personnel and veterans, first responders, firefighters, police officers, nurses, doctors and teachers. HRCCU also offered reduced-price park admission for guests.HRCCUEventScrapbook

The Great Escape’s “Sasquatch” thrill ride welcomed our Heroes on a morning with a cloudless sky.

HRCCU was on-site throughout the week, recognizing Heroes for their service and offering them giveaways and chances to win great prizes.

Even Shaggy stopped by our booth for his chance to win a gift certificate.

Spruce the Moose gives HRCCU a big “thumbs-up” for its support of our local Community Heroes!

To help celebrate Heroes Week, Splashwater Kingdom’s all-new Alpine Freefalls waterslide was the scene of an exciting challenge that took place between representatives of our Army National Guard, Police and EMS personnel - all in full uniform!

HRCCU’s Glens Falls branch staff recently held a youth fingerprinting event. Area youth were invited to have their fingerprint documented by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department. Over 25 children stopped by the branch to receive their identification card and back-to-school safety coloring books.

LunchforaCause BBQFundraiser GlensFalls,NY Friday,September14,2012

HRCCU’s Glens Falls branch hosted a Barbeque Lunch Fundraiser on Friday, September 14th. Over $400 was raised to support local pediatric programs at Glens Falls Hospital, Saratoga Hospital, Seton Health in Troy and Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital in Schenectady. HRCCUEventScrapbook

Our Iron Pig pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw and a water or soda was a delicious bargain at just $7.50.

Members line up to donate to a worthy cause and receive their lunch.

A hungry member is happy to grab lunch at the Credit Union!

Sunny and warm. A great day to be outside raising money for a good cause!

A special thank you goes out to The Iron Pig BBQ of South Glens Falls.

HRCCU held a recycling event at all branches to wrap up the International Credit Union Week celebration.
