4WD ACCESS TO HQ PLANTATIONS LEASEHOLD FORESTRY ESTATE
4WD Qld is currently undertaking negotiations and discussions with HQ Plantations as a
means to more adequately manage access into their leasehold forestry estate.
4WD Qld respectfully requests that its member clubs for the interim stay away from all HQ
Plantations areas unless they have followed the HQ Plantations requirements and
guidelines surrounding Group Activity Permits.

Four Wheel Drive Queensland (4WD Qld) was formed in 1976 when members from various
four wheel drive clubs across the State got together in an effort to unite the voice of four
wheel drivers in promoting recreational four wheel driving.
Main areas of focus for 4WD Qld include driver training, recreational access to land,
environmental education, sustainable land management strategies, involvement in
community consultation, public liability insurance for clubs and comprehensive 4WD
insurance for club members

FOUR WHEEL DRIVE QUEENSLAND IS JOINING FORCES WITH NUGGET OUTDOORS
Four Wheel Drive Queensland (4WD Qld) is joining forces with Nugget Outdoors to promote 4WD Qld`s message of safe and responsible four wheel driving.
Dave “Nugget” Dowine is a media personality who writes for various publications & also hosts Outback & Bay on 4BC. Being an outdoors enthusiast himself was impressed with the ethos and values that 4WD Qld bring to the 4WD & leisure industry and is happy to support this non for profit organisation be heard in the wider community.
The joint venture will include interviews, 4WD Qld sanctioned events, 4wd tips & safety videos with Dave that feature on Nugget Outdoors media site. www.nuggetoutdoors.com.au
4WD Qld President, Scott Crawford said, “4WDQld is pleased to be associated with Dave Downie & Nugget outdoors. We believe that the partnership will provide a valued vehicle for the dissemination of valued four wheel driver information to the wider four wheel drive community”.
