Why Compliance This department operates with
integrity and seeks to be the model for other Athletic Departments. As such, we have a moral obligation to follow the rules.

Only takes one disgruntled player or parent to make a call to another school or PSUAC
Inadvertent admission on Facebook Do not say you are going to
practice if you are going to play pick-up games at an open gym. There is a difference!
Compliance
What happens if we commit violations? A member institution that is found to have violated any
provision of the USCAA, PSUAC and/or NCAA Division III rules is subject to sanctions: Probation Double Secret Probation Loss of eligibility Vacating wins/Championships Reduction in games for the following season Ban from post-season play in the PSUAC and/or USCAA

24.5.5: Requirements After the First Two Semesters All student-athletes must complete 24 credit hours in the
previous academic school year If you meet this requirement, you are eligible for both the
fall and spring of the new academic year If you don’t you will have two scenarios to re-establish
eligibility If you are planning to participate in the fall, you must
take summer courses to reach the 24 credit hour requirement
If you are only planning to participate in the spring, you can use the fall semester to re-establish eligibility by passing 24 credits in the previous two semesters

24.5.5: Requirements After the First Two Semesters Example
You pass 10 credits in fall 2011 and 10 credits in spring 2012.
You did not earn 24 credits in the previous academic year and thus you are ineligible to compete
If you plan on participating in the fall (all sports since baseball and softball also are playing non-traditional seasons), you must take summer classes to earn four more credits to reach 24 by the start of the fall 2012 term
If you only plan to play in the spring 2013, you can use fall 2012 to restore eligibility by completing a total of 24 credits between spring 2012 and fall 2012

K-088 Varsity Sport Experience
One time opportunity to get two credits for playing a sport
Volleyball and Cross Country can register for this in the fall
K-088 for all other sports is available in the spring
Don’t come to us at the end of the semester and ask to get the credits
Start season/Finish the season Show up at practice Compete in intercollegiate athletic
contests Don’t get in trouble If you quite the team, make sure you
withdraw from the class or you will FAIL
