DESCRIBING PEOPLE PROJECT RUBRIC

1. For this project, you will be describing a person. I will be assigning a different Latin American to each of you. You will need to research that person and learn about them in order to describe them.

2. You will need to write a 6-8 sentence paragraph describing the person of your choice using the adjectives we have learned in class. There should be 4 adjectives describing their physical traits and 4 describing their personality traits. There will be a rough draft due on the date provided. (Friday, Jan. 23rd.)

Totó la Momposina is a Colombian group led by Sonia Bazanta Vides, aka

Totó. They have played traditional Colombian music since 1968. Cumbia is a musical style from Colombia that has spread all over the world.

The song “El Alegre Pescador” is a cumbia song written by Colombian composer José Barros. This version is by Totó la Momposina.
