    CBSE- Diwali Homework No studies on Sundays

    MONT-I

    1. Stick pictures related to alphabets F,V,X,Z,Y,K,M,N,W

    2. MAKE A BIG FRUIT BASKET WITH 1 PINEAPPLE, 2 APPLES, 3 MANGOES,4 BANNANAS, 5 GUAVAS, 6 GRAPES, 7 CHERRIES

    (Note: cut outs can also be used for the same)3. Prepare a Birthday Card for your grandfather. Bring it to school.4. Watch Pogo Channel.Come and tell all you have seen after the vacations.

    MONT-II1. Prepare Best out of waste. (just any 1 object)2. Watch pogo (Chota Bhim).3. Eat healthy and nutritious food.

    4. Practice writing only three numbers from 6-14 in a square line book daily.5. Collect pictures of differnt types of wild, domestic and farm animals.(three of each kind)Point out about how do they protect themselves in winter?

    MONT-III1. Write 2 to 3 letter words. Five every day and complete 50 in all.2. Practice to write in reverse sequence order from 0-49 A test of the same would be

    taken as you are back from vacations.3. Write number names from 0-10.Every day five. A test of the same would be taken as

    4. Practice Letter writing in practice sheets (K TO E)Two letters every day.5. Write small alphabets from a to r in My Writing Book.Two letters every day.

    6. Fill 2 pots with soil. Mix manure in one pot. Plant small plants in both the pots. Waterthem regularly. Observe the difference in growth after a few days. Record yourobservation of seven days after sprouting.

    STD-I1. Involve yourself in the projects of 101 Mathematical projects by Brian Bolt & David

    Hobbs. Complete as many as you can sincerely and truthfully. Or devise on your own 15

    different kinds of maths projects. Bring to school to be shown best 10 on the display

    board.

    2. MAKE A FARM . It Should have animals, birds, plants, water body and a house. You can

    use paper, plastic animals, plants or any other toy etc to give it real and a natural.

    3. Complete your Cursive Writing book starting from page no 9 to 25. Daily writing onepage.

    STD-II1. In the local wood closest to you there could be a number of trees. On these trees there are anumber of birds.If you can find out how many kinds of birds are there on each tree and how many trees are therein the wood in all. Draw colourful pictures of trees and birds you see there.2. Improve your handwriting- using the Nelson Handwriting book by John Jackman is a goodway of practicing.

    3. Learn your tables. 2 to 10. Practicing daily orally and by writing twice- thrice just one table outof 2-10.

    6. Can you tell the animals from their pug marks? Try with six different animals like an exampleshown here.

    STD -III1. Make drawings of as many objects you see in every day life around

    you at home and outside, but catagorise them in to

    LIVING/NONLIVING; CARNIVOROUS/HERBIVOROUS as you draw and

    colour them in a drawing book.

    2. We use a vast range of instruments to take the measurements. Draw the

    pictures of 10 different measuring instruments and state what do we

    measure with each one.

    3. The term key is used in many different ways. A common use is to speak of

    music. How many keys and scale are there in piano/harmonium ? Can you

    play any such instrument? Learn to play.

    4. Write and learn the tables 2 to 16 by heart- by writing three times daily at

    least two tables.

    5. Practice daily by making as many as you can the flash cards of the following

    fractions. 1 / 2, 3 / 4, 6 / 9 , 5/8, and many more.

    STD-IV1. How mammals are different from Amphibians- Write names with

    two characteristic of 8 mammals and 8 amphibians differencing

    them from each other.

    2. You will find amazing tales from India's tribal villages, colorful arid

    lands, lush green jungles, mighty sacred rivers, glacial mountain peaks,

    and thickly crowded cities. Write three Environmental stories on

    any out of these topics. It means the impact of the environment on the

    way of life of people and animals of that place should get projected in

    the story.

    chart of temperature every morning at 8oclock and in the evening

    Marie Curie (Scientist, physicist, Nobel Prize winner)

    Or/and the newspaper daily.

    As many phrases and the determiners you have learnt by reading in thevacations, write in your notebook and bring to show your English teacher.
