"Yonkers Was, And Is, A Marathoner's Marathon." There are very few races in the world with a more storied history than the Yonkers Marathon, the second oldest marathon in the world behind Boston. There are also few with a tougher course which is what course record holder John J. Kelley was referring to in his famous quote above. This year, in partnership with NYCRUNS, we begin the process of restoring this crown jewel of New York running to its former prominence while maintaining the charm and reasonable field size (1,500 runner cap for the marathon and half marathon) that has kept some runners coming back to Yonkers for decades. Featuring a great new start and finish, a well managed and well supported, certified course, and a fantastic post-race party, this year’s Yonkers Marathon is the first step in something great becoming something greater. 2011 starts a new beginning for this 86 year old legend. In partnership with
NYCRUNS, we begin the process of restoring this crown jewel of New York
running to its former prominence while
maintaining the charm and reasonable field size (1,500 runner cap for the
marathon and half marathon in 2011) that
has kept our loyal runners coming back to
Yonkers for decades.

Sponsor’s logo will be integrated into the finish line apparatus, immortalizing their support for the next several years.
Sponsor's logo will occupy 5x5 center space on the back of the event t-shirt. Sponsor's logo will be featured on the cover of all electronic media. Sponsor’s logo will be featured in the July issue of RaceForum.
