In addition, vendors who have scheduled SaturDate Events, can use CPI to design, create and distribute their kits. Annual Beauty Launch Training Program ................................pages 15 - 16Each year vendors are invited to participate in the Beauty Advisor training program. Every store receives a Beauty Training Manual which has information in English and Spanish on each Beauty Vendor and their new products. In addition, the book has a quiz for every beauty advisor in every store to complete (one question per vendor). The completed quizzes are mailed into CPI for grading and those who get 80% or better receive a customized diploma. Cost: $2,900 for participation, $2,500 each additional product page (up to 3 products per page)Dates: Signup due November 5th, 2010
Beauty Launch LIVE Training Program ................................... pages 16 - 17Professional trainers attend district meetings and engage Lead Beauty Advisors in a training seminar that includes the new Audience Response System. Up to 13 vendors can purchase 20 minute premium spots. Each premium segment is dedicated to training on that brands new lauches and allows the vendor to include pass around product for trial, an item in the Beauty Advisor Sample Bag, and extra pages in the Beauty Training Manual. In addition, premium vendors can receive instant quiz participation by attendee via the electronic key pad.Cost: $18,900 per 20 minute slot - covers ALL 230 districts - approximately 8,000 attendeesDates: Signup due November 5th, 2010, training begins in March 2011 for 8 weeks
Monthly Beauty Box Program ..................................................pages 11-14Walgreens encourages its Beauty Vendors to educate and motivate the Beauty Advisors by sending materials to the stores. To accomplish this goal, all materials for BA’s are collated into the monthly Red Zone Beauty Box. The Beauty Box is shipped via the DC’s - therefore incurring no additional mail room fees and accomplishing a more consistent program. Vendors have the choice of providing finished kits or having CPI create, print and assemble the materials. Cost: Participation in Beauty Box: $3,000.00 per 8 oz kit for participation

Red Zone Grand Opening Sampling Program
The Red Zone Grand Opening Sampling program is an opportunity for vendors to distribute beauty samples in EVERY NEW Walgreens store, approximately 260, over the next four quarters during the Grand Opening Celebration.
DetailsVendors provide 28,600 samples to Cosmetic Promotions to collate the samples into an attractive Red Zone plastic drawstring bag and ship 2 boxes of 55 to each store. If samples are not available, CPI can create a coupon to insert instead. The Grand Opening kits are shipped to the new stores via the DC distribution system.
One week prior to Grand Opening week, each NEW store will receive 110 Beauty Sample bags for the Beauty Advisors to distribute to customers.
The sampling bags will be promoted to draw customers into the store.
Pricing Structure• Full year program (28,600 samples) $4,000.00 (less than 14 cents per sample!)• Quarterly program (65 stores/7,150 samples) $1,500 (less than 21 cents per sample!)

The Top Store Beauty Demo Program is designed to make it simple for vendors to sponsor in-store makeovers and/or demonstrations.
89% of all first time purchases are the result of some sort of product trial. Recent results have shown that a Cosmetic Promotions 4-hour demo event sold ONE WEEK’s worth of products.
Vendors can choose stores by a variety of choices (for example by volume or by demographics) and Cosmetic Promotions will provide the proper personnel to facilitate the event.

The In-store Beauty Demo Program includes all these elements:• 4 hours of a professional model or makeup artist per store• All supplies including linen tablecloth, makeup applicators and
beauty consultant apron• Each professional model or makeup artist personally trained by
phone, checklist and product guide using our unique training/quiz method that results in more interactive models; which leads to higher sales

Reaching Consumers via the Beauty AdvisorVendors can (with CM approval) reach consumers through the Beauty Advisors’s by providing the materials for stores to implement their own sampling event. CPI can help vendors reach consumers at store level economically by creating sampling kits that ship to the DC’s and then to each store. For example, Vendors can have a kit distributed to all NEW stores at Grand Opening time that contain samples and testers to add excitement during that time period. Or, perhaps target certain stores with a sampling program.
Example of items in a consumer sampling kit:• 50 customized sample bags containing sample packets• Coupon pads (can be collated inside the bags)• Consumer brochures (can be collated inside the bags)• Counter card and/or shelf talker or wobbler• DVD/VHS• Full size product for store demonstration• Box is usually custom printed or has a larger customized label• CPI obtains a WIC#, no charge PO and ships via the DC’s to the stores

Monthly Beauty Box ProgramWalgreens encourages its Beauty Vendors to educate and motivate the Beauty Advisors by sending materials to the stores. To accomplish this goal, all materials for Beauty Advisors are collated into the monthly Red Zone Beauty Box. The Beauty Box is shipped via the DC’s incurring no additional mail room fees and accomplishing a more consistent program. Vendors have the choice of providing finished kits or having CPI create, print and assemble the materials. There is a $3000 insertion fee (per 8 oz.) for full chain participation and timing/weight limitations. Please refer to the appropriate Beauty Box instruction sheet for more information.

Assisting the Walgreen Beauty Advisor
1. All elements of the kit must be discussed in advance with Category Manager before artwork is begun.
2. A PDF of each element artwork must be sent to CPI as per the calendar below. CPI will work with WALGREENS to obtain all changes and/or approvals. Vendor must make the changes and re-send artwork until we get approval before they can print any of the elements. Send PDFs with job #* in the subject line to: [email protected]. All elements should be in one E-MAIL, lo res proofs are fine for the approval process.
3. All dated material contents (i.e.: contests) of the kit you produce must be relevant for that Beauty Box’s month. You can not combine two month’s events in one month’s box unless the event begins in the participated month.
4. All materials must be pre-collated, labeled and sealed. Nothing may be stapled or taped to the outside of each package. Everything must fit inside your packaging. All “home trial” products that have a retail value must have special approval and the barcodes must be crossed through. Samples sizes are excluded from this requirement. These must be products that are sold at Walgreens in order to be included.
5. We MUST get a Mockup of the finished kit no later than the “Mock-up Due Date” below. The Mockup should be the same exact size/weight of the real items - it does not have to be a finalized production kit.
6. All kits must be no larger than 10x13x2. If a product has bulky samples or product, it should go in a box. Envelopes should be flat. Samples should be secured so they can’t leak. YOU MUST SHIP THE PROPER # OF KITS AS INDICATED BELOW. NOTE: you can send materials to arrive no more than 4 DAYS prior to the due date.

BEAuTY LAuNCH TRAINING PROGRAM 2011Annual Beauty Launch Training ProgramEach year vendors are invited to participate in the Beauty Launch Training Program. The program delivers a Beauty Launch Training Manual to each store which has information on the vendor and their new products, delivered in English and Spanish. The manual contains a quiz for each beauty advisor to complete (one question per vendor), which are returned for grading. Beauty Advisors achieving an 80% or better quiz score receive a personalized training certificate.
Participation Includes:• One vendor page, one product page in manual (up to 3 same brand products)• Spanish translation • Each product represented in the training CD and live training program (details below)• One question included on the Beauty Advisor Quiz
Participation fee is $2,900, additional product page $2,500 each
Beauty Launch Live Training SeminarsProfessional trainers will conduct LIVE Beauty Advisor Training seminars at district level. The seminars will train on all the items in the Beauty Launch Training Manual.To keep the attendees focused and involved, we are adding a new element this year - Audience Response System. This electronic system will allow the trainer to instantly poll the Beauty Advisors and gauge their retention of the material. It gives her the opportunity to go over the material in more detail if the poll reports are less than perfect. In addition, the system allows us to obtain attendee information
electronically and enable a more timely delivery of the BA training certificates.
