Voluntary Action Islington Volunteer of the Year Awards 2011Voluntary Action Islington is very aware of the vital role volunteers play in the community and wants to
recognise and celebrate their work. At our AGM this year, we will be presenting the Volunteer of the Year
awards. These awards aim to distinguish three volunteers for their individual efforts within the community.
Categories:
• Young volunteer of the year – 16-25 years
• Volunteer of the year – 26-60 years
• Older volunteer – 60+
Eligibility:
1. Nominations are open to all organisations and residents of Islington
2. Nominees must have contributed to the community in a voluntary capacity
3. All sections of the nomination form must be completed
Who can nominate:
Organisations that work with volunteers can nominate their own volunteers. Residents of Islington can
nominate volunteers.
Nominees must:
• live, work or study in Islington or be volunteering for Islington based organisations:
• should have contributed to the community through volunteering
• have shown commitment and enthusiasm
Prize:
The winner of the Volunteer of the year awards will receive a certificate and a voucher. Winners will receive
their prize at the Voluntary Action Islington AGM to be held at 6-8pm on 9th November 2011 at the Voluntary
Action Islington Centre.
