Hey, Moms and Dads—Thanksgiving is just around the cor-ner… which is why we’re taking alook at the virtue of GRATITUDEthis month in our elementary pro-

gramming UpStreet (Sunday mornings at9:30 and 11:00) and KidStuf (2nd Wednesday

evening of the month). We realize that it’s reallyhard for kids (and, if we’re honest, adults, too!) to con-sistently slow down long enough to express gratitude forthe both the big and small stuff in our lives. Which iswhy we’re making a “pitstop” this month to rememberthat because of what God has done, we ALWAYS have areason to be grateful.

We hope your family can join us in the Family Minis-try Center this coming Wednesday, November 9th,from 6:30-7:30 p.m. for a “gratitude adjustment,” aswe take a closer look at fine-tuning our ability to letothers know we see how they’ve helped us. KidStuf isfor elementary students and parents to attend togeth-er. Childcare is available free of charge for preschool-age children; however, they are also welcome to attendthe show, as long as they sit with parents during theperformance.

Questions? Please call Pastor Britta at 892-3580, ext.107 or e-mail [email protected] .

At red/blue we talk about the intersectionbetween public policy and our Christianfaith. In each session we will wrestle withthe biblical texts that undergird each topic. And we do mean wrestle — there are noeasy answers here!In our three classes we’ll cover: the differ-ence between a “right” and a “privilege;”the boundaries between personal and com-munity responsibility; and public and pri-vate debt. When we come to red/blue, we know thatif there was a simple way to answer thesequestions, we’d have no red/blue!Bring your faith, bring your brain, come
