    HAS STRENGTH, SPEED, hands and

    grace to go with his size. He helped

    lead a savvy unit

    that held veopponents to

    two TDs or fewer.

    At TE he led the

    Mid-State 6 with

    25 receptions. He

    had four TDs and

    got most of his

    282 yards after the

    catch.

    HIGHLIGHT: Had

    three catches for 37 yards, a TD and a

    conversion catch in a Week 9 win over

    Pontiac.

    WHATS AHEAD: Playing basketball now

    and will do track & eld (weights) in the

    spring. Hes a college prospect in all

    three sports.

    SPEEDY NOSE GUARD, he led in tackles

    for loss, was the tackles leader among

    down linemen and

    was co-leader withve sacks for a

    team that nished

    third in the Mid-Il-

    lini and played 11

    games.

    HIGHLIGHT: Beat-

    ing Metamora on

    homecoming.

    WHATS AHEAD:Would like a chance

    to play in college.

    HARRISON HALEC E N T R A L

    5-10, 194 / JUNIOR / LINEBACKER

    THE TACKLES LEADER for a resurgent

    team that won ve games but missed

    the playoffs. Had

    two INTs, including

    one returned for a

    74-yard TD against

    Galesburg. He

    helped shoulder

    the rushing load

    down the stretch,

    with 46 carries

    for 336 yards and

    four TDs.

    HIGHLIGHT: Career-

    high tackles in a 48-28 win at East Peoria.

    ACADEMICS: A-B student with honors

    courses.

    OTHER SPORTS: Hes out for wrestlingfor the rst time.

    MOST PEOPLE DONT KNOW: He played

    as a freshman at Richwoods but moved

    in with the family of a friend after the

    death of his mother.

    TOUGHEST PLAYER HE FACED: Kend-

    6-3, 190 / SENIOR / LINEBACKER

    WAS THE TACKLES leader and had

    three interceptions for a stout and

    stingy defense

    that held its last

    three regular-sea-

    son opponents to

    zero rushing yards.

    At TE he caught

    15 passes for 213

    yards and a TD.

    HIGHLIGHT:

    Had an interception

    and the stop on a

    conversion attempt

    that helped secure a 17-16 victory over

    Metamora.

    WHATS AHEAD: College, undecided

    QUOTE: We went to the playoffs and

    THE TWO-TIME tackles leader for a

    defense that this season limited op-

    ponents to 19.5

    ppg., and held six

    foes to two TDs or

    fewer. At TE he led

    Morton with 33

    receptions for 433

    yards, and co-led

    the team with ve

    TD receptions.

    HIGHLIGHT: Two

    catches, both for TDs

    in a 28-7 win over

    Pekin.

    AT SAFETY FINISHED third in total

    tackles for a defense that had three

    shutouts. A

    sure-handed

    receiver, he led

    the Mid-Illini with59 catches for

    825 yards, with

    ve TDs. His 388

    return yards on

    punts and kicks

    also helped Pekin to a

    ve-win improvement.

    HIGHLIGHT: Had 10

    receptions for 131yards, and had the TD and go-ahead

    conversion catches in a 29-28 victory

    over Richwoods on opening night.

    ACADEMICS: High honors

    PLAYED MONSTER (SS) and helped

    lead a defense that at one point held

    ve consecutive

    opponents to two

    TDs or fewer. At RB

    his 946 rushingyards and 13 TDs

    were both second

    best for 6A run-

    ner-up Richwoods.

    In two seasons

    he rushed for 1,302

    yards and 16 TDs.

    HIGHLIGHT: Rushed

    for a career-high 135 yards and two TDsin a 38-8 win over Galesburg.

    ACADEMICS: 3.3 GPA

    WHATS AHEAD: College but undecided

    6-1, 175 / SENIOR / DEFENSIVE BACK

    THREE-YEAR QB and DB and three

    times all area. He led Washington in

    tackles at FS, and

    at QB completed

    132 passes for

    1,886 yards (both

    school records)

    with 17 TDs and

    6 INTs, and a

    team-high 12

    rushing TDs. Hes

    Washington career

    leader in passing

    yards (5,186), TD

    passes (54), comple-

    tions (354) and defensive INTs (10).

    HARD-HITTING SAFETY led the team

    in total tackles, had ve tackles for

    loss and two

    interceptions. A

    at RB, he averaged

    9.9 yards a carry

    on the way to 682

    yards and nine

    TDs. He also had

    14 catches for

    244 yards and two

    TDs.

    HIGHLIGHT: Had

    ve TDs and 267 yards of offense in a

    55-16 win over Dunlap.
