The Scholarship, a globally recognized academic program was sited to land in the ports of Portrero San Pablo in our hypothetical studio project titled “PostIndustrial Ecologies: Re-envisioning Potrero San Pablo After Chevron.” Using the Scholarship as a catalyst for design, the goal of this studio project was to ‘rewire’ postindustrial Potrero San Pablo to accommodate the “landing party” of arriving students and to help welcome, orient, ground and educate them during their temporary landfall through an educational program.

My strategy for the redevelopment of the Hunters Point Shipyards in San Francisco was to capitalize on exist-ing infrastructure by bringing shipping containers & industrial jobs to the shipyards, commemorate the WWII effort with the creation of a memorial park and use bio & phyto-remediation to abate contamination.
