They will be judged on Thursday, Oct. 6th, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Ribbons will be awarded to the first three places (1st, 2nd, 3rd). All exhibits must be intact until Sunday, Oct. 9th. You may pick up your exhibits on Sunday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and on Monday, Oct. 10th between 10:00 a.m. and 12 noon. Premiums must be forfeited if exhibits are removed before specified time.

ADULT RULES FOR EXHIBITORS Rule: All exhibits must remain until 8:00 a.m. Sunday, October 9, 2011. All exhibits must have been canned since Oct. 2010. Standard containers, all of clear glass, must be used. Leave band of self sealers. Food canned in any containers other than standard jars will not be judged, but put on display only. 1. Quart jars should be used for all plain canned vegetables except corn, peas, okra and pimentos. 2. Quart jars should be used for all canned fruit. 3. Quart jars should be used for fruit pickles and dill pickles. 4. Quart jars should be used for okra and tomatoes canned together. 5. Pint jars should be used for pickles, relishes and spreads. 6. Pint jars or 12 ounce jars should be used for all preserves and marmalades. 7. Six or 8 ounce jelly glasses should be used for all jelly. REGISTRATION & ELIGIBILITY: 1. Registration begins promptly at 9:00 AM in the Green Barn. 2. All participants must be registered before 10:00AM as registration will close at this time. 3. Livingston Parish citizens 75 years or older will be registered using one of the following methods for proof of age: (a) Birth Certificate; (b) Affidavit for voter’s registration; (c) Driver’s License; (d) Application for nursing home (All nursing home entries should be chaperoned). The chaperone should submit age verification of those 75 years or older 4. Each registered person 75 years or older will be honored. 5. The oldest man and the oldest woman registered will be honored. 6. The couple, one member of which must be at least 75 years old and registered, who have been married the longest, will be honored. 7.
