20 June ‐ Monday
06.00: Private coach to the airport departs from Talavera (School main gate). Punctuality expected from everyone.
09.55: Flight IB3174 Madrid (Terminal 4) – London Heathrow dep. 09.55 arrival 11.00, local time.
12.15: Tube to Earl’s Court Station, and from there we’ll walk to to the hotel, which is very close.
13.15: Arrival at Garden View Hotel, check‐in and unpacking time.
16.30: Reconnaissance stroll around the Hotel, supermarkets and restaurants in the area.
19.00: Packed dinner at hotel or park, to be decided.
21 June ‐ Tuesday
08.00: Wake up and breakfast.
08.45: We take the tube (Earl’s Court ) to Leicester Square (Picadilly Line), in the heart of the West End. From there, we’ll walk to Trafalgar Square and see the world‐famous Nelson’s Column.
10.00: Visit the National Gallery, the main art museum in Britain and one of the most important galleries in the world.
11.30: After the National Gallery, we’ll take a walk down Whitehall, the most important political street in Britain, home of the British Government. Right after the start of this road on the right, we’ll pass the Admiralty Arch, and further on, also on the right, we’ll glimpse the official residence of the Prime Minister at 10, Downing Street. We might have the chance to see the peculiar horse Guards or foot guards of the building, and perhaps get a picture with one of them.
12.00: Whitehall becomes Parliament Street, which leads us to Parliament Square. From this place we’ll get a magnificent view of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, and we will soon see Westminster Abbey on the far right.
12.30: We’ll cross Westminster Bridge, and on the other side of the Thames we’ll get the chance to take the best picture of the Houses of Parliament across the river Thames. Here we’ll also see the expensive London Eye, and past it we’ll see the Jubilee Gardens, probably the newest in central London. In this area, we can have a short shopping time.

13.45: We’ll now walk past Westminster Abbey, and head for St James’s Park, where we’ll have the chance to feed the squirrels and have our well‐deserved packed lunch.
15.00: We’ll cross the lake in St James’s Park and exit the garden at The Mall. This ceremonial road will take us to Buckingham Palace.
15.30: Photos and stroll around Buckingham Palace. Then we’ll take Constitution Hill to approach Hyde Park. In between the two parks we can see Wellington Arch.
16.30: Now we have the option to visit the Hard Rock Café, in 150 Old Park Lane, just off Piccadilly Road.
18.00: If we are not very tired, we can walk on to visit the historic Speakers’ Corner. This point is 1 km away from the park entrance. We’ll also see Marble Arch nearby.
19.00: Back to the Garden View Hotel, refresh and ready for dinner.
20.30: Dinner at Masala Zone (Indian food, www.masalazone.com).
23.00: Lights out, silence and sleep. We need to get our energy back, as tomorrow will be a very, very busy day.

22 June Wednesday
8.00: We will wake up and have breakfast early in the morning so that we can get to the Natural History Museum by 10.00. We’ll visit the museum for about one hour and fifteen minutes.
11.30‐12.30: We will visit St Paul’s Cathedral. From there we’ll cross the Millennium Bridge to be at The Tate Modern by 13.00 h.
14.00: Packed lunch outside the Tate Modern.
15.45: We visit the beautiful Covent Garden and will take a quick look at the Royal Opera House, one of the most important opera hubs in the world. After this, we’ll walk to Leicester Square, the centre of the famous West End theatre area. Around 18.00 h we’ll take some pictures of Piccadilly Circus and do some shopping there. Don’t forget to take a look at Fortnum & Mason, one of the most elegant stores in the world.
20.00: Back to the Garden View Hotel. After relaxing a little bit from the tiring day, we’ll be ready to try the original taste of Japanese food at The Wagamama Restaurant (http://www.wagamama.com/locations/showlocation/577).
23.00: Lights out, silence and sleep. We need to get our energy back, as tomorrow will be a very, very busy day.
23 June Thursday
8.00: Wake up and breakfast at the hotel. Up and at it.
9.30 h. We’ll visit the British Museum. You don’t have to go to Greece or Egypt for authentic Greek or Egyptian art, but visit The British Museum instead.
12.00: We’ll try to get through the wall of platform 9 ¾ at King’s Cross Station. Do you remember Harry Potter?

14.00‐14.30: We’ll visit Camden Town Market and have our packed lunch there. Everyone will have some free time to have a look around.
16.00 h. We’ll have some relaxing time at Primrose Hill.
19.00 h. Dinner at a Fish and Chips restaurant.
20.30 h. Back to the Garden View Hotel.
23.00: Lights out, silence and sleep. We need to get our energy back, as tomorrow will be a very, very busy day.
24 June ‐ Friday
8.00 Wake up and breakfast.
8.45 We’ll take the tube to Westminster. At Westminster Pier, we’ll take the boat to Greenwich. The river cruise is an opportunity to take a different view of London, passing some historical landmarks that the Thames offers including:

And finally, Greenwich St Paul's Cathedral The Globe Theatre
Greenwich is recognised for its cultural heritage: the beauty of its buildings; the magnificent views across London; its royal history, as the birthplace of both Henry VIII and Elizabeth I, among others. Here, we’ll visit the famous Royal Observatory (ROG) which is the home of Greenwich Mean Time and the Prime Meridian of the World, making it the official starting point for each new day, year and millennium.
If we have enough time, we will also visit the National Maritime Museum. The Museum has the most important holdings in the world on the history of Britain at sea comprising more than two million items, including maritime art (both British and 17th‐century Dutch), cartography, manuscripts including official public records, ship models and plans, scientific and navigational instruments, instruments for time‐keeping and astronomy (based at the Observatory).
14.00: Packed lunch at the beautiful Greenwich Park.
15.00: We’ll take the tube to the Tower of London.

1077. However, the tower as a whole is a complex of several buildings set within two concentric rings of defensive walls and a moat.The Tower served as a fortress, a royal palace and a prison . It has also served as a place of execution and torture, an armoury, a treasury, a zoo, an observatory, and the home of the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom.
15.00: We’ll visit the Tower Bridge. The visit will take 90 min.
The Tower Bridge was completed in 1894, after 8 years of construction. Originally, London Bridge was the only crossing over the Thames. We will be able to visit the Victorian Engine Rooms, home to the original steam engines that used to power the Bridge lifts.
17.00: We’ll take the tube to the hotel to refresh and get ready for dinner.
19.00: Back to the Garden View Hotel. After lying down for a little while, we’ll be ready again to discover the taste of Italy in London. This time at Zizzi. (http://www.zizzi.co.uk/)
24.00: Lights out, silence and sleep. We need to get our energy back, as tomorrow will be a very, very long day.
25 June ‐ Saturday
8.30: Breakfast.
9.30: Packing and free time for shopping in the area.
11.30: Everybody is ready to leave the hotel and take the tube to Heathrow Airport.
Afternoon: Return flight IB3177, departs London Heathrow 16.25, arrival Madrid (T4) 19.25, local time.
21.00: Private coach to Talavera at 20.00, arriving at school main gate by 21.30.
