On behalf of the entire staff at Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, we would like to extend our gratitude for the

opportunity to host your special event. Our goal is to provide the best hospitality and culinary experience

Michigan has to offer.

Suggested menus are available on the following pages to help you in making your selections. If there is a special theme that you would like to see or a special menu item that you would like for your event, our Executive Chef will be happy to prepare it for you.

Our professional staff offers great expertise and experience in every phase of the event planning, whether large

or small. Our Chefs partner with local artisans and organic farmers to deliver authentic cuisine for the

sophisticated palate. This collaboration between our Chefs and our trusted partners is designed to provide

culinary experiences that celebrate wellness and sustainability.

GUARANTEES In order to best serve your guests, a final confirmation of attendance or “guarantee” is required by NOON, three (3) business days prior to your meal event. The guarantee is not subject to reduction after the 72 hour deadline. If no guarantee is received, the Resort will charge for the expected number of guests indicated on the Banquet Event Order (BEO) or the original contract, whichever amount is greater. The Resort will set 5% over the guarantee for all food functions with less than 500 attendees and 3% for all groups exceeding 500 guests. Guests arriving over and above the guaranteed number may be served an alternative menu.

BUFFETS AND BARS Our buffet prices are based on groups of fifty (50) or more people. Should you select a buffet menu for fewer than fifty (50) people, a $100.00 surcharge will be assessed. All carving and specialty action stations require an attendant at $75.00. Carvers and attendants are based upon one (1) for every seventy-five (75) guests. Bars not exceeding a minimum of $500.00 in revenue will be assessed a $250.00 surcharge. All surcharges are subject to applicable Michigan Sales Tax.

BANQUET/FUNCTION ROOMS The attendances you anticipate, as well as the setup you require, are the primary factors in your function room assignment. Revisions in your requirements may require moving functions to a more suitable room. Thus, Grand Traverse Resort & Spa will guarantee function space but not guarantee specific rooms. Room rental fees are based upon your groups program. Changes in your group’s space, times, dates, meal functions or setup may require revisions of rental, setup, or labor fees.

OUTDOOR FUNCTIONS To determine if the weather is suitable for an outdoor event, a representative from the Banquet department, along with your Catering/Conference Services contact will meet with you the day of your function at a pre-arranged time. Noise curfew for outdoor functions at Pavilion, Pool Terrace, Beach Club Deck , and Lawns is 10:00pm. The Plaza and 55th Hole is Midnight.

AUDIO VISUAL The contracted in-house audio visual provider, Presentation Services, has a complete inventory of equipment and services. A representative will be happy to assist you in all your meeting needs.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION / SHUTTLE The Transportation department offers a courtesy shuttle to and from Cherry Capital Airport (TVC). As well, Grand Traverse Resort & Spa offers continuous courtesy shuttle throughout the Property from the hours of 8a until 12a daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day and on an “On Call” basis the rest of the year.

CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT Check in time is 4:00pm and Check out time is 11:00am

SHIPPING AND RECEIVING Grand Traverse Resort & Spa will accept shipments of up to fifteen (15) packages or a maximum weight of 1,000 pounds (1 full pallet), no more than 14 days prior to arrival date. All package shipments should include the following information and be addressed to: Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, 100 Grand Traverse Village Blvd, Acme, MI 49610. CREDIT ARRANGEMENTS/PAYMENT Unless credit has been established with Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, 100% payment MUST be received in advance of your function, based on number of rooms and guaranteed number of guests for food and beverage functions. In order to establish credit, an application must be received 30 days prior to your arrival date. A non-refundable deposit will be required to confirm your event.

PRICING, SERVICE CHARGE AND STATE SALES TAX All food and beverage prices are subject to a service charge. To that total, Michigan state sales tax is added in accordance to Michigan state tax board regulations. All prices are subject to change; however, food and beverage prices will be confirmed six (6) months prior to arrival date.

AMENITIES Our bell staff would be happy to deliver any and all amenities to sleeping rooms for $2.50 per room.

SECURITY Grand Traverse Resort & Spa does not assume responsibility for the damage or loss of any equipment or property left in an unsecured function room, public area, or outdoor venue. Security personnel are available upon request at $22.00 per hour (minimum of 4 hours).
