ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW

Members of AACE are physicians with special education, training, and interest in the practice of clinical endocrinology. These physicians devote a significant part of their career to the evaluation and management of patients with endocrine disease. All members of AACE are physicians (M.D. or D.O.) and a majority is certified by Boards recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. Members of AACE are recognized clinicians, educators and scientists, many of whom are affiliated with medical schools and universities. Members of AACE contribute on a regular and continuing basis to the scientific literature on endocrine diseases and conduct medical education programs on this subject.

AACE ANNUAL MEETING ATTENDANCE

The 2011 Annual Meeting in San Diego will mark AACE’s 20th anniversary and offer exhibitors valuable opportunities to generate and maintain their relationships with the top physicians and allied health professionals in the clinical endocrinology field.

2011 AACE ANNUAL MEETING EXHIBIT INFORMATION

The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) proudly announces its Twentieth Annual Meeting and Clinical Congress Exhibition which will be housed in the Sails Pavilion of the San Diego Convention Center, providing 90,000 square feet of exhibit space. The three-day show will host practicing endocrinologists and healthcare professionals from all over the United States, as well as Canada, Mexico and many other foreign countries.

EXHIBIT HOURSThe exhibit hall will be open as listed below. Exhibits are to be manned at all times when the hall is open; however, companies should expect higher traffic during the exclusive breaks.

SET-UP/DISMANTLING Please refer to the exhibitor kit provided by Freeman at a later date for specific move-in dates and times. Exhibits are to be installed and complete by 7:00 am, Thursday, April 14. Exhibits may be dismantled beginning at 11:30 am, Saturday, April 16. No dismantling of exhibits can occur prior to 11:30 am, Saturday. If dismantling should occur prior to this time, a penalty fee may be incurred by the exhibiting company. All exhibits must be removed from the exhibit hall immediately after the close of the show or by the designated times listed in the exhibitor kit.

EXHIBIT BOOTH SIZES AND COSTSEach standard exhibit booth space is 10’ x 10’ and is defined by 8’ high drapery in the back of the exhibit and 3’ high divider drapery on the sides. A standard-size exhibitor identification sign with a booth number is provided in each in-line booth. Island space is also available. Aisle carpeting will be provided throughout the hall by AACE. Standard drapery and aisle carpet colors will be provided in the exhibitor kit along with ordering information for additional signage, furnishing and equipment. * Non-profit organizations are eligible for one 10x10 booth at a discounted cost of $800

RESERVE YOUR BOOTH TODAY!Space will be assigned according to the order in which applications/agreement forms are received. It is important to send in your request early in order to receive a booth. Exhibiting firms will be notified of booth assignments approximately 90 business days prior to the meeting; however, all exhibit applications will be immediately acknowledged with a confirmation of receipt via email or fax. If you do not receive a confirmation within three business days of submitting your application form, please contact the AACE office to ensure your application has been received. AACE is committed to maximizing the value of your exhibit participation at the Annual Meeting through a variety of promotional and on-site activities. Additional opportunities are also available for those who wish to increase their exposure to attendees and AACE members.

AACE EXHIBITOR PROMOTIONAL AND ON-SITE ACTIVITIES: • Exhibitor Wine & Cheese: RETURNING FOR 2011! Back by popular demand, the Wine & Cheese reception provides an excellent opportunity for exhibitors to meet with attendees during this two-hour unopposed reception. AACE will provide wine bars (wine, beer, soft drinks) and very modest food displays (i.e. cheese, crudités) in select locations within the hall. Exhibitors are welcome to provide additional offerings of food and beverages in their booths (note- all f&b must be purchased through the convention center; please see information on booth activities for details).

• Exclusive Breaks: Each day of the show, exclusive breaks allow exhibitors valuable time to meet with attendees in the exhibit hall. Additional exclusive exhibit hall hours have been added to the 2011 meeting schedule providing even more unopposed exhibit hall hours. See the previous page of this prospectus of a full listing of exhibit hall hours and break times.

• Online Exhibit Planner for Attendees: All prospective attendees will be able to view the floor plan and exhibitor list with booth numbers online. Exhibitor list will include links to each company’s provided description and website. Announcement regarding online exhibit planner will be sent to the AACE membership (approximately 6000+) via AACE Online News.

• Official Program Book listing: All confirmed exhibitors will be listed in the printed meeting program. The program is mailed to all domestic AACE members (approximately 5000) and made available online for all prospective meeting attendees.

• Schedule-at-a-Glance listing: All exhibitors will be listed, along with their individual booth number(s) in this pocket-sized complete meeting schedule provided to all attendees on-site.

• Congress Syllabus listing: Complete exhibitor listing, including provided company/product descriptions and booth numbers, will be included in the syllabus which is distributed to all registered attendees.

OPTIONAL EXHIBITOR PROMOTIONAL AND ON-SITE ACTIVITIES: • Product Theaters: RE-DESIGNED FOR 2011!! The product theater offers an additional marketing opportunity to reach AACE members in a forum to collaborate on specific products and therapeutic treatments. This is an opportunity open exclusively to exhibiting companies. New for 2011, Product Theaters are scheduled on Friday April 15 (second day of exhibition) and will be held on the show floor adding tremendous value to this promotional opportunity! • AACE Publications: Ad space is available in AACE’s two publications, The First Messenger (bi-monthly newspaper) and Endocrine Practice (journal with seven issues published annually). • Direct Mail: Reach thousands of prospective attendees by purchasing AACE membership mailing lists- domestic and international lists available which will allow you to reach up to 6000+ clinical endocrinologists. Pre-registration mailing lists also available. Ordering information will be provided in the exhibitor kit.

• Specialty Meeting Publications & Door Drops: AACE partners with TriStar Publishing to generate a variety of meeting-specific print materials and organize on-site door drops. Rate card and additional information will be provided in the exhibitor kit.

• Lead Retrieval Systems: Collect contact information of the attendees who visit your booth for easy follow-up and targeted marketing. Lead retrieval units will be available from AACE’s official registration provider, QMS Service, Inc. Ordering information will be provided in the exhibitor kit.

• Corporate Support Opportunities: Expand your marketing reach both within and beyond the exhibit hall by taking advantage of the many corporate support opportunities for the 2011 Annual Meeting. ANNUAL MEETING EXHIBITION INFORMATION, RULES & REGULATIONS

BOOTH ACTIVITIES, GIVE-AWAYS, ENTERTAINMENT

Requests for special booth activity or entertainment that may be included in an exhibit must be submitted in writing to Siobhan D. Egan ([email protected]) at the AACE office for approval. Note that all food and beverage items in the exhibit hall must be purchased through the Catering Department of the San Diego Convention Center.

Where appropriate, exhibitors may distribute items that are educational related or designed primarily for the education of patients or healthcare professionals provided they are not of substantial value ($100.00 or less) and do not have value to the healthcare professional outside of their professional responsibilities, as per PhRMA Code (for complete PhRMA Code guidelines please go to www.phrma.org).

CANCELLATIONS

Exhibitors may cancel space reservations on or before January 2, 2011 without penalty. Cancellations received from January 3, 2011 to February 3, 2011 will be assessed a financial penalty equal to 50% of the exhibit booth fee. Cancellations received after February 3, 2011 will be assessed a financial penalty equal to 100% of the exhibit booth fee. All cancellations must be received in writing (email acceptable).

DECORATOR

The decorator/show manager for the AACE show is Freeman. Furniture and other special equipment for booths may be ordered through Freeman. An exhibitor kit will be available to you online 90 days prior to the show. Please contact the Exhibitor Services Department if any information is needed.

DOWNSIZING AND NO-SHOWS

Downsizing requests will be considered same as cancellation (same dates and penalties apply) and will be accommodated on a space available basis. If a company does not notify AACE that they are not coming prior to the show set-up (i.e. no shows), the exhibit fee will be forfeited and future placement at AACE shows will be compromised.

EXHIBITOR BADGES & REGISTRATION

A maximum of 10 complimentary exhibitor badges per 10x10 space; any additional badges will be provide at a rate of $10 per badge. Space confirmation letters will include a link to enter names of exhibiting personnel online. Representatives without badges will not be permitted in the exhibit hall. Limited resources and personnel will be available on-site to make badges, so advanced planning is greatly appreciated. Exhibitor may pick-up name badges at the registration desk on-site (see hours below).

FLOOR PLAN

The floor plan provided with the prospectus is accurate at time of publication and will be maintained wherever possible, but is subject to change. AACE reserves the right to modify the floor plan as needed.

HOUSING

The host hotel for the AACE Annual Meeting is the Manchester Grand Hyatt. Exhibitors will be provided with housing information, including details on how to make individual and group reservations, once available and block is open for exhibitor bookings.

PAYMENT

Exhibit booth payments should be initiated only after assignment by AACE. Invoices are only generated upon request; please mark your application if one is required. Once space confirmation is received, please remit a copy of your completed application or invoice and payment, payable to:

Companies will not be allowed to exhibit if payment in full is not received in the AACE office by February 3, 2011.
