Called Common Chords, the initiative establishes partnerships between the Orchestra and participating cities that will culminate in a celebratory festival week featuring performances and activities that reflect the interests, diversity and heritage of each community. Launched with generous support from The Mellon Foundation, Common Chords will debut in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, October 10-15, 2011. The Orchestra will partner with different Common Chords communities each season. A complete schedule of events in Grand Rapid is available at www.minnesotaorchestra.org/commonchords, but following is a listing of the full Orchestra performances that are part of the festival week.
