In order to remain mobile in the future, we have to rethink things.
Completely.
German Federal President Horst Köhler, January 2010
Need and Solution • Mobility Challenge
– Mobility costs, CO2, road congestion – only 1.3 persons/car, 80% of all car trips shorter than 40km – conventional ridesharing services do not address use case
• Solution – flinc arranges rideshares automatically in real-time
using smartphone and satellite navigation technology – flinc can be used for pre-planned and for spontaneous rides – flinc builds on social networks
flinc is different. And easy to use
l Integration in sat nav (Navigon) for easy everyday use l Arranges rides of any length between any addresses l Matches partial routes l For spontaneous short rides as well as pre-planned longer term rides l Automatic sync between sat nav, mobile and PC
l Users build their mobility network („relationships of trust“) l Rating system for drivers and passengers l Automatic payment process. No cash required
