ESCHENBRENNER AWARD

The Eschenbrenner Award is named after tournament founder and PGA Golf Prefessional Hall of Fame inductee Bill Eschenbrenner. In 1974, Echenbrenner with the help of Stu Ham-mond and Herb Wimberly, founded what is now known as the Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic to honor the nation’s elite golfers.

The Eschenbrenner Award was established to honor those who have given back to the sport of golf and especially the All-America Golf Classic.

The Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic is the only indivdual tournament in the NCAA. It is also an event that has awarded over $640,000 in collegiate golf scholarships to participating college programs.

Fueling Our Lives

Fueling the Drive

At Western Refining we make fuel. Fuel that helps power our nation and keeps our economy moving. Fuel that powers the cars we drive to work, the buses that take our children to school, airplanes that fly family home for the holidays, and trains that move cargo across the country. It’s what we do everyday, and we do it in a way that protects our environment, our people, and our communities.

We also provide the fuel that helps sponsor the 2010 Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic. We’re proud to support this Sun Bowl tradition and the dedicated athletes that will be participating this year. Their hard work reflects all that is special in the game of golf; their drive to win inspires all of us.
