Since the massive floods devastated Pakistan this past summer more than 21,000,000 people have been affected making it one of the worst natural disasters in human history. Nearly 2 million homes have been destroyed leaving over 8 million men, women and children internally displaced and homeless. Over the past few months dysentery and other waterborne illnesses have begun to run rampant among refugee communities...and yet because of media blackouts and other factors, the global response has been found lacking.

THERE IS HOPE FOR PAKISTAN!WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE TOGETHER!

Two weeks ago our friends in Pakistan made a plea asking us for help. The result has been the creation of Pure Hope Pakistan, a newly formed cooperative non-governmental-organization dedicated to distributing 100,000 pure water filters to Pakistani flood victims. The connections have been made and the logistics are in place, but our team still needs the finances in order to answer the call for help. In mid November myself (Steve) and Greg (a fellow photogenXer) will fly to Pakistan and spend 10 days distributing water filters and capturing both the great need and great hope of those affected by the floods in order to push the campaign forward and raise a voice for the voiceless in Pakistan!

The basis of this trip is to share the love of Christ with those who need it most. We really believe that love is stronger than death and that if believers can raise a voice for the voiceless in Pakistan it can have a tremendous impact on the whole region of the world. Greg and I will travel with local friends, aid workers and YWAM support into effected areas and capture needed footage for the campaign in order to raise the issue of clean water for flood victims in Pakistan. We still need to raise nearly $6,000 to help offset the expensive travel costs, as well as to upgrade our gear so it can withstand the environment and the needs of the trip.

Pure Hope Pakistan’s goal is to distribute 100,000 clean water filters, each of which provides for 10 people. We could potentially provide drinking water for over 1 million displaced people! So we ask you to pray about giving toward our joint needs for this trip and join us to raise a VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS of Pakistan!
