Be sure to keep CItGO Gift Cards in stock as they’re perfect for people on the go. Customers are able to set the value of their card in whole dollar increments ranging from $5 to $300, with no cost incurred by you or the customer. the CItGO Gift Card also makes a great gift during the holiday season. Just activate through the in-store POS terminal at the time of purchase and they are ready to go. What’s more, there are no processing fees!

Credit Card Application Acrylic HoldersIn 2009, CItGO refilled the holders with new applications each quarter when new POP was installed. All that was required of your retailers was to keep the holders filled in between POP campaigns. this will continue through 2010!

Tiered-Volume RebateAll CItGO Fleet Business Select cardholders (formerly CItGO Fleet enhanced card) are eligible for the tiered-volume rebate.

the tiered structure is based on gallons purchased and places the CItGO rebate program among the most competitive in the marketplace.

Additionally, CItGO Fleet Business Select transactions are now card type 17 and will incur a 70-cent ($.70) transaction fee. Basic CItGO fleet Business transactions are card type 18 and will continue to be processed for no fee, which makes it easy to convert customers!

Broadband Internet-Based ProcessingAs a CItGO marketer, money is not the only precious commodity you’ll save your customers. You’ll save them time as well with Internet-based payment card processing services. CItGO currently offers a broadband Internet-based solution—echosat’s SPG—with more options to be offered in 2010. Heartland Payment Systems provides payment card processing, including authorization and data capture services for all CItGO locations. Heartland has certified echosat’s SPG for use through the CItGO credit card network. All hardware associated with echosat’s SPG is PCI compliant.

Payment Card Industry/Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) In 2006, vISA International, masterCard Worldwide, American express, Discover Financial Services and JCB jointly announced the formation of an independent council designed to manage the ongoing evolution of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS), which focuses on improving payment account security throughout the transaction process.

these standards globally govern all merchants and organizations that store, process and/or transmit cardholder data. Compliance with the PCI set of standards is mandatory, and is enforced by the major credit card brands that established the council (vISA International, masterCard Worldwide, American express, Discover Financial Services and JCB). the next critical deadline is July 1, 2010. At this time POS software must pass the PCI PA (Payment Card Industry Payment Application)standardandPINPadsinsidethestoremust be compliant with the tDeS (triple Data encryption Standard) for debit card processing.

How It WorksIn simplest terms, FuelLinks is a “cash for gas” rewards system. FuelLinks cardholders purchase products and services from your retail locations and/or participating retailer partners (i.e., grocery stores, car dealers, restaurants, etc.), and acquire fuel discounts or “cash” rewards, which are then applied to their FuelLinks card. these rewards can be redeemed at participating CItGO locations for fuel.

How To ParticipateIf you have a veriFone ruby, topaz, vx570, Gilbarco Passport or FISCAL POS system, all you need is the current software version to participate in the basic program. Issuing and redeeming rewards at your retail locations is now easier and less expensive than ever. encourage your retailers to issue as well as redeem FuelLinks rewards and enjoy the boost in business that an effective loyalty program can bring. POP materials are available at no cost to you while supplies last, just contact the marketing Support person for your region (Section 4, page 9).

We are working to add the FuelLinks technology to more POS systems. If your locations are not using one of the systems listed above, but would like to participate now, adding a veriFone vx570 is a low-cost way to process fuel rewards in your stores.
