Jim is a Full Ordained Eldein the UMC; he has been a speaker at Emergent Worship Conerences. He is thauthor oDirty Word: Te Vulgar, Ofensive Languages o Te Kingdom o God.

    Rev. Dr. Sherry ParkerSherry is the Lead Pastor at Brighton FUMC. She has a passion orempowering the people o God or transormational ministry and believesthat this is possible in every congregation.

    Workshop: Transforming Congregational CultureDoes the church need a new program or a new perspective? Tis is an

    introduction to leading the church through cultural change toward being amissional congregation. Te workshop will include an overview o societalchange that makes transormation imperative.

    Rev. Dr. Wayne BarrettWayne has been President and Executive Director o the United MethodistFoundation o Michigan since 1982. o date, he has served over 800congregations across the United States with programs and consultations inplanned giving, capital unding and stewardship development.

    Rev. Dr. Eugene BlairEugene currently serves as the District Superintendent o the FlintDistrict in the DAC. Prior to that, he served as Director o Arican-American Spiritual Formation and Congregational Development.From 1994-2004, he served as the pastor o the newly ormed ResurrectionUnited Methodist Church in Chicago and the Director or Congregational

    Development or the Northern Illinois Conerence.

    Workshop: Spiritual Leadership in the Local ChurchWhat is spiritual leadership? What i s the central task o local churchleadership and how are they to approach that task?

    Dr. Ron CrandallFor six years, Ron served as Director o Local Church Evangelism at theUnited Methodist General Board o Discipleship. In 1983, he joined theaculty o the E. Stanley Jones School o World Mission and Evangelism atAsbury Teological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. Currently, he serves asthe Sundo Kim Proessor o Evangelism and Practical Teology, and Deano the E. Stanley Jones School o World Mission and Evangelism.

How can we practice church in a way that draws people in,but doesnt compromise our values?
