Epicenter of Worship ChurchExecutive Summary

The Epicenter of Worship Church (EOW) was birthed out of a MSU Christian campus outreach ministry in the spring of 2004. EOW initially held services in the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center. In the fall of 2007 it transitioned to its current location at 227 North Capitol Avenue where a partnership was formed with Christ Community Church. EOW’s mission is to, “Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Teach the truth of Salvation in Jesus Christ and Prepare God’s people for Kingdom and community leadership.” The mission is being accomplished through biblical education, local community outreach and foreign missions.

The EOW offers formal biblical training for ministers and lay members. EOW recently founded two non-profit organizations to help meet the growing ministry needs of the local Lansing community. EOW has college campus ministries at LCC, Cooley Law and MSU. EOW has developed an after school programs called “IMAGE” that was implemented at Capitol Area Academy where youth were impacted through academic support, mentoring and self esteem building. EOW currently has an after school program operating at Bingham Elementary School. Youth at Bingham are receiving homework assistance, physical education, computer training, musical classes and cooking classes. EOW has partnered with Evidence of the Gospel Ministries in Benin City, Nigeria to help build a college for educating youth. In addition, EOW has also partnered with Heart Cry International for missions in Uganda and Guatemala. EOW is also working with Faith at Work International ministries for missions in Israel, Jamaica among other countries.

The EOW has reached its potential capacity at its current location to implement necessary programs and ministry. With the acquisition of a new location, EOW will be able to expand and implement the additional programs to fulfill the vision. Lastly, a new church will provide a location for worship, preaching, teaching and equipping of the congregation for local and international service.
