Extensive electrical and data capabilities allow cabling

to be routed easily through the top channel, beltline

and raceway. For ultimate versatility, Empower can be

customized to deliver power and data at the raceway,

or at desk height.

Technology Tiles allow for easy, one-step

access to power and data at desktop height

for cell phones, laptops and other frequently

used devices.

Lay-in cabling allows easy access through

the top channel or hinged raceway. Easy

accessibility of the top channel allows fast

field installation.

Electrical harnesses come in double-block

with access on both sides of panel for up to

4 duplexes per panel, or value driven single

block harness with access on both sides for

up to 2 duplexes per panel.

Product Contributions to LEED®

Maxon products may contribute to the individual prerequisites and credits of LEED. Because LEED is a

holistic building rating system and sustainable design guideline, there is no such thing as LEED-certified

products—only ways of using and applying products to support the criteria.

• Our supplier certification program identifies companies with environmental goals similar to ours.

• Our Wilsonart® laminate offerings are GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified.

• All of our Terratex® fabrics contain 100% recycled materials and can contribute points toward LEED™ certification.

• Our particle board suppliers use recycled content from post-consumer waste and post-industrial sources.

• Our Products utilize steel that contains post-consumer materials and is recyclable.

• Our Products utilize aluminum that contains post-consumer materials and is recyclable.

• Our packaging materials contain post-consumer materials and is recyclable.

• Maxon’s waste-reduction efforts extend to the paint we use on our products. Our powder coat finishes are applied in a special chamber that

continuously collects unused paint particles and loops them back into an electrostatic spray gun. Paint particles that remain at the end of

each project are saved and combined with other paint particle colors to create black paint.

• Our bulk packing option consumes fewer raw materials and decreases the amount of shipping materials our customers must recycle or

send to landfills. Reducing cartoning also reduces greenhouse gas emissions by decreasing the number of trucks needed to deliver Maxon

product.

• Our outbound load planning system combines product shipments to geographical areas to reduce fuel consumption and CO2

emissions of

the trucking companies.

• Maxon’s Empower, Parallel, Series 1000, Series 2000, work surfaces and storage have received SCS Indoor Advantage Gold - Indoor Air

Quality Certification.

- Maxon Furniture Inc have products certified by the Indoor Advantage TM program. Virtually all manufactured products emit chemical compounds into

the air. Indoor Advantage evaluates these compounds to help improve the air quality within enclosed indoor environments.

- Developed by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), Indoor Advantage subjects products to the most rigorous indoor air quality s tandards in

the United States. Further, Indoor Advantage tests individual components as well as overall assemblies, and provides detailed analysis of a

comprehensive range of chemicals rather than a simple pass/fail for only the most common. This enables us to help our suppliers reduce the

environmental impact of their products and processes, as well.

- SCS offers two levels of certification:

- Indoor Advantage TM certifies conformance with LEED-CI criteria for EQ4.5, as well as BIFMA X7.1 Low-Emitting Furniture and Seating.

- Indoor Advantage Gold TM certifies additional conformance with California 01350 Special Environmental Requirements and Collaborative for High

Performance Schools (CHPS).

Empower panel. Other options include access from the

wall or from the oor.

Our panels offer extensive cable routing capabilities through

Empower panel connectors or through the top channel,

beltline or raceway.
