Welcome To Our State Conference Beyond the Notes! For two days on November 19 and 20, ACDA-MN members will experience an incredible professional development event known as the annual State Conference, formerly remembered as the Fall Convention. Conference Chair Steve Albaugh, together with our planning committee, have created Beyond the Notes, an exciting conference program that will motivate and stimulate you with new experiences that will positively impact your choral rehearsals back home.

This year, our outstanding St. Cloud State University conference site will host engaging interest sessions pre-sented by leading and nationally recognized clinicians. Outstanding concert performances will be presented by three state Honor Choirs and nine auditioned choirs representing all age and performance levels. As a special feature, two immersion sessions focused on Middle Level and Music & Worship will offer extended learning and reading sessions for directors at those levels. You won’t want to miss the Friday evening choral

experience entitled Imagine…A Minnesota Mosaic that will celebrate and honor the richness of our emerging choral and cultural diversity. A new event called Late Night @ acda-mn.org will feature an afterglow with entertainment!

As we have stated many times before, the primary mission of ACDA-MN is to inspire and support a community of choral musi-cians. ACDA-MN continues to be an organization that is rooted in being your primary source for engaging and ongoing professional development. These two days in November promise to be worth your time and investment in your continuing journey as a choral director! Read through this brochure…you will be amazed at what you will encounter!
