• The 27 Member States of the European Union share vehicle legislative requirements and take a very similar vehicle specification although such aspects of vehicle trim and non legislative aspects such as suspension systems may vary between these countries.

• The product details are intentionally very brief and give an outline of the products and their salient points. Precise vehicle details must always be obtained from the individual markets where the vehicles are sold. More details are available by consulting www.Iveco.com.

• Iveco vehicles are powered by FPT (Fiat Powertrain Technologies) Diesel and natural gas engines meeting the highest European environmental standards.

• Exhaust emission certification are made according to either the light duty regime, in which Euro standards use Arabic numerals – Euro 4, or the heavy duty regime, in which Euro standards use Roman numerals – Euro V. These regimes, applicable according to the inertial vehicle mass, overlap for light range models up to and including Daily models. Eurocargo and above are certified solely according to the heavy duty test regime.

• A highly important emerging market yet to reach its full potential as a market in its own right and as a manufacturing centre for other southern hemisphere markets.

• Iveco’s presence in China dates back to 1985 when it’s first investment was made to facilitate the Chinese company Yuejin to locally produce the Daily under licence.

• In 1987, Iveco opened its Chinese representative office in Nanjing. This was an ambitious programme of investments by Iveco in the Chinese automotive industry that led, in 1996 to the first of Iveco’s Chinese joint venture companies to form Naveco.

• In 2004, Iveco signed an agreement with China’s largest automotive company, SAIC, to initiate a long term partnership in China’s commercial vehicle sector. In 2006, further joint venture initiatives in China were completed. The current situation is that with one joint venture partner, SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation) in which under the brand name SIH (SAIC – Iveco –Hongyan) light (TurboDaily and PowerDaily), under the Iveco brand, and medium range trucks, under the brand Yuejin, are produced. Heavy range trucks are produced under the brand name Hongyan.

Water, foam and powder extinguishing agents are carried in quantities up to 15000L, 1500L and 400kg respectively.
