Itinerary
Day 01: 17 Dec 2009 ThursdayMUSCAT / QURIYAT / FINS BEACH / WADI
SHAAB / RAZ AL JINZ
You will be met by your guide in the lobby who will embark you
to your 4 wheel drive fora 3 days soft adventure program. This tour
along the coast line to Sur will offer breathtaking glimpses of the
blue waters of the Gulf of Oman that offsets pristine whitebeaches.
Visit Quriyat, a very large fishing village between the lagoon and
the sea portof Quriyat still guarded by a watchtower. Continue on
the beautiful newly built express
way, overlooking the superb white beaches hundreds of metres
long. Arrive at the Finsbeach (White beach), stop for a short swim.
Stop for a photo stop at 'Wadi Shaab ',Shaab in Arabic, literally
means 'Ravine between cliffs. Visit Wadi Tiwi and Proceed toyour
vehicle and drive to Raz al Jinz and check in at the camp. (BASIC
CAMP WITHCOMMON TOILET FACILITY)
Dinner and overnight stay at the camp or at Ras al had beach
hotel.
Day 02: 18 Dec 2009 FridayRAZ AL JINZ / SUR / WADI BANI KHALID /
WAHIBA SANDS
After breakfast 0800 hrs depart for a short tour of the Sur
town. Later proceed to WadiBani Khalid, which stands out like an
oasis in the desert with clear green natural springwater pools. We
then spend some time here before continuing to the Wahiba
Sandswhich stands out in stark contrast to Wadi Bani Khalid. The
'Wahiba Sands' oftendescribed as a perfect example of Sand Sea
consists of large ranges of dunes runningfrom North to South, some
attaining a height of about 100 mts and orange in colour.Our
experienced drivers will take you on a dune bashing tour through
the undulatingsand dunes to experience the thrills of dune driving.
Arrive at the pre arranged camp sitefor overnight.
Dinner and overnight stay at the camp
Day 03: 19 Dec 2009 SaturdayWAHIBA SANDS / IBRA / MUSCAT
Breakfast at the camp. After having spent some time here in the
desert you will leavethe desert to continue your drive to Muscat.
On the way you visit the Ibra Souq. Aftervisiting the Ibra proceed
to Muscat and arrive at Muscat.
