WHAT WE DO . . .

The United Way of Genesee County mobilizes the community and its resources,

forges partnerships and collaborations with individuals, non-profit agencies,

government, corporations, organized labor and foundations, to help create

solutions.

We have broadened our role in the community, beyond being just a fundraiser and

grantor. Today, many community leaders and residents view our United Way as a

Community Builder and a Collaborator.

SYSTEMIC CHANGE

United Way is working to advance the common good in our community by changing the way we invest dollars and the way we evaluate outcomes.

In 2005, we established our Systems of Care around our four focus areas to help us create systemic change, a greater impact and a better use of our donors’ dollars.

The Systems of Care are comprised of representatives from United Way funded partners, non funded partners, government, faith community and public agencies.
