Our credentials speak for themselves and they include training at the levels of Part 141 approved Private, Instrument, Commercial, Special Preparation Course for King Air C-90, and Private Ground School Course-ATP. We are one of the very few schools who offer training to all of these levels under FAA Part 141 approval, and we include on top of this Glass Cockpit flying. I would encourage prospective students to the field of aviation to ask other schools what they provide and to what level before committing to any other school for training.

Our facilities are located at a large airport in the Central Valley of California at Stockton. We have a control tower with very low commercial airline traffic, yet just enough to provide real hands on training for those who strive to become safe and professional pilots. We are near major airports as well, and these become part of the comprehensive training we provide our students.

Our flight instructors are professional, and are trained to understand and respect diversity in culture, and also learn that there is much more to teaching aviation English than what the instructors may have learned in flight school to teach aviation jargon, particularly to international students. We train our trainers beyond their initial certificates.

Our syllabus and standard operational procedures were developed by our own professional staff, and are not canned models purchased through the Internet, or passed down from one generation of flight school owners to the next with little attention to staying current in the field of aviation. Our present administration and staff are professional and safe pilots and instructors; most have been in the field of aviation for years; and they live and breathe flying. We practice safe flying and do not compromise ourselves or the safety of others for money, as we have witnessed in some areas of the field.

I welcome you to come by; take a look around; ask questions; and get answers to your questions. I think you will be happy with what you see and learn.

Sincerely,

Highly established training system

Proven Syllabus Centered Coursework

Our training is carried out with a well structured syllabus. We understand what is needed at every single stage for training participants to safely and proficiently move them to the next level in their training. To do this we have established a day-by-day syllabus. This works as guidance to our participants from the “zero time” student to the professional commercial pilot, in the most efficient and effective manner possible. This plays a dual role. Our syllabus is a powerful tool to lead our training participants to be professional pilots in a timely manner while taking into consideration budgetary restrictions. We have designed this program to achieve training goals in an efficient manner. Our staff has significant experience using our syllabus from the initial stages of training up through the completion of the program established as the goal by the student and airlines. The results have been proven in the past by our staff and students who are now professional commercial pilots.

Highly Organized Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Our SOP is a vital tool that helps cultivate a professional pilot. We believe that well organized flight skills are strongly demanded of airline pilots, and candidates are refined from their initial stage up through their entire training period with the Academy. JC Air Academy is specialized in professional pilot training and has developed, through knowledge and experience, a high level SOP that extends from single engine fleets to multi-engines, and the more complex aircraft for both VFR and IFR training. Our administration and professional staff have significant experience and education in professional pilot training and this valuable experience and education is incorporated into our SOP. We have a standardized training program that produces uniformity in our school, and thus produces high level education while maintaining this quality throughout all of its programs.

Well Organized Ground Classes

Safe piloting comes from not only proficient skills but also by having flight knowledge. We believe that well developed flight knowledge is a strong foundation for an excellent pilot. JC Air Academy has well organized ground classes to present and teach essential knowledge to trainees. Unfortunately, it is possible from some schools to get pilot licenses with minimum knowledge required by the FAA at this time, but having systematical knowledge developed around a flight environment, such as we provide at JC Air Academy, makes our pilots more efficient and safe and we go beyond the minimum requirements of the FAA, unlike many other schools.

Training with advanced fleets

Safety

Flying is safe, if we exercise necessary care and have the proper training. But, we must not overlook or ignore the possibilities of problems during aircraft operations. We have two criteria for choosing the safe training fleets we operate. First, we operate the type of aircraft that are proven safe over their years of use in aviation. The Cessna 172R/SP is the main type of single engine aircraft we have in our fleet, and the Seminole is used for some of our multi engine training. Both types of aircraft have been tested and proven over the years.Secondly, we operate fleets that have distinctive features to enhance safety. The Cirrus SR-20 has an emergency parachute to help save people and the aircraft should an accident such as engine failure occur. We want to have the safest and most secure operations for our students, and safety is always the priority in our training programs.

Digital Cockpit Experience for Commercial Airliners

Almost all airline fleets are operated with “Glass Cockpit” systems. This state-of-the-art instrument flying requires a new way of developing mental techniques for pilots to get proper situational awareness. JC Air Academy conducts training with a fleet that has high-tech systems using the Glass Cockpit. For our single engine fleet, we operate Cirrus SR-20 that utilizes Avidyne systems and Cessna 172SP’s that have Garmin G1000 systems. Our training participants get digital equipment experience which will permit them to adapt to airline fleet systems quickly once they finish all the training courses.

Excellent flight training environmentOne of the World’s Most Complex and Advanced Airspace

Stockton Metropolitan Airport, where the JC Air Academy is located, is 20 minutes by air away from the San Francisco Bay Area where one of the world’s most complex and advanced airspace is located. Every trainee has the opportunity to use the same air traffic control systems that airline pilots use. The features of this environment are advantageous for our training center, especially for candidates for airline pilot. And, due to the twenty minute air distance away from the center of the San Francisco Bay Area, we are safely separated from the busy congestion of airliners. Our training will be minimally delayed or affected by their operations, if at all, but we can share the same advanced traffic system as we desire. Moreover, Stockton Metropolitan Airport has a 10,650 foot, and a 4,454 foot long runway with a precision radar system and control tower. These environments allow our participants to adapt to airline operations efficiently.

Variety of Instrument Approaches Available

Most professional flying is conducted under instrument flight rules from takeoff to landing, regardless of weather. There are 50 (fifty) airports with instrument procedures in our flight training area and 25 (twenty five) of them provide precision instrument approaches. So, our training participants can easily get plenty of experience under instrument flight rules. As we noted earlier, instrument flight skills are essential for airline pilots, and our training participants will receive hands-on skills, along with their classroom education.

Moderate Climates

Weather around our training center is generally mild year around, which benefits all phases of our training. Storms are almost non-existent during the spring, summer, and fall months, and these seasons are adequate for Visual Flight Rules (VFR) flight training due to high visibility and little to no rain. During some winter months, frontal systems may quickly pass through the area, but this season gives us a chance to fly in actual IFR conditions that allow us to skillfully practice and develop our Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) skills. Seldom are weather patterns present that adversely affect the overall progress of students in any phase of training.

EVERYDAY SCHEDULE

Many international student pilots want a smooth training schedule without delays. To meet the students’ needs, we are running a powerful dispatch system uniquely designed and developed that we have named the “Everyday ScheduleTM” Everyday Schedule TM is an integrated database system for efficient and effective scheduling of all the training conducted in our academy. All information related to the scheduling includes the tasks of each lesson according to the syllabus, fleet maintenance status, while the students and instructors information are managed by the integrated database daily. From an analysis of the training database, we can also easily identify the problems of each student in terms of their training progress, and this will help ensure the overall training regiment, quality and their safety while here.

International Pilot CourseOur training system has been established to develop professional airline pilots. Our programs are designed to not only satisfy FAA licensing requirements, but to help pilots succeed professionally at a high level. The academic portions of our programs exceed the FAA minimum requirements commonly used throughout the United States with other schools. We strive to provide excellence above others in our programs while keeping safety as an integral part of the training.Training will include FAA Private Pilot Certificate, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate and the Multi-Engine Rating. Estimated completion time is 8-10 months, but will vary depending on each student’s ability. This course is designed to meet the needs of an average international student who is seeking a career as an airline pilot.

India DGCA Pilot CourseFor students from India, we provide a cost efficient program according to DGCA requirements. We understand that savings to airlines in the overall training is very important, and that living expenses play an important role also. But, we do not compromise safety and quality in seeking these savings for those airlines that contract with us. In order to do this, we use a well organized program with a full-time schedule for students, as to save time and money for the airlines. Our professional pilot program provides the optimum in personal productivity, time management and budgeting to accomplish this. Training will include FAA Private Pilot Certificate, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate and the Multi-Engine Rating. The estimated completion time is seven (7) months, but may vary depending on each student’s ability. This course meets the DGCA-India requirements, and previous flight experience is not required.
