    He was a retired health physicist, hav-

    ing worked for Monsanta Corp. and the

    U.S. Department of Defense.

    Carl Taylor Irvine 42 died April 9.

    Rev. Russell Taylor 46 and his wife,

    Martha, have spent 35 years serving

    churches throughout Kentucky.

    1950sFloyd Wilson 50 died March 1. He

    was a Navy veteran of World War II,serving as a photographer, and he

    retired from General Motors in 1990.

    Allene Collins 50 Aaron taught for

    16 years in a one-room school house on

    Yellow Hammer Road in Adair County,

    Ky.

    Stanley Bruce McWhorter 50 is a

    retired English professor from the

    University of Dayton (Ohio).

    Doris Alexander 50 Beauchampretired from 35 years of teaching. She

    volunteers at Good Samaritan Shop in

    Hardinsburg, Ky.

    March 1.

    W. Currie Milliken 59 is a lawyer at

    Milliken Law Firm in Bowling Green,

    Ky.

    1960sBobby Keith 60 was inducted into

    the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame.

    Keith is the former Clay County (Ky.)High School boys basketball coach. He

    led the program to the 1987 state cham-

    pionship and runners-up finishes in

    1985 and 88. Keith who is a member

    of the LWC Athletic Hall of Fame led

    his teams to a record 14 regional cham-

    pionships. His career record at Clay

    County was 767-124.

    Charles G. McEldred 60 died July

    28. He played basketball for three years

    at LWC, and he served as a basketball

    referee in the NAIA and the KentuckyHigh School Athletic Association. He

    retired from Quantrell Cadillac after 35

    years in automotive sales.Roger 61 and Jane Cruse 61 Coffey

    reside in Russell Springs, Ky. Roger

    spent 30 years in construction. He is

    currently employed at Jamestown Water

    plant, and he plans to retire soon after

    10 years of service.

    Rev. Frank A. Robinson 61 died

    June 9. He was the pastor of First

    United Methodist Church of National

    Park, N.J.

    Joseph Harner 62 and his wife, Flo,welcomed a grandson, Anthony Joseph

    Trent, born March 4. He weighed 9

    pounds and was 20.5 inches long.

    Nancy Moran 62 Fouser is president

    of Fouser Environmental Services in

    Versailles, Ky.

    Glen Dalton 63 is retired from

    Kentucky State Police after 24 years of

    service. He spent three years as Hardin

    County, Ky., judge-executive. His wife,

    Diana Gamblin 64 Dalton, is retired

    from the Fort Knox, Ky., school system.

    Jeffrey Kress 63 is a retired United

    Methodist minister. He resides in North

    Andover, Mass.

    Don Hudson 63 is a realtor in

    Lexington, Ky.

    Lawrence Larry Barrett 63 is

    retired from Qwest Communications.

    Marshall Myers 63 is an associate

    professor at Eastern Kentucky

    University, where he teaches undergrad-

    uate and graduate courses in linguistics

    and rhetoric. He has written more than

    200 articles, poems, academic pieces,

    and short stories, as well as three books:

    On the Inside, a collection of poems;

    Real Toads, a chapbook of poems on a

    single theme; and Barefoot, a collection

    of short stories. His articles and reviews

    about the Civil War have appeared in

    Kentucky Explorer, The Kentucky Civil

    War Journal, and The Register of the

    Kentucky Historical Society. Myers is

    president of the Madison County (Ky.)

    Civil War Roundtable and contributes a

    bi-monthly column about the Civil War

    in Kentucky to the organizationsnewsletter. A native of rural Meade

    County, Ky., Myers taught for four

    years at Elizabethtown (Ky.)

    Community College and Kentucky

    Wesleyan College. He did doctoral

    work in American literature and linguis-

    tics at Kansas State University, and he

    earned a doctorate in rhetoric and com-

    position from the University of

    Louisville. He has also taught at the

    middle-school and secondary-school

    levels.Woodrow Gosser 64 retired after 42

    years as a Uniserve Director at the

    Kentucky Education Association.

    Robert G. Simpson, Jr. 64 retired as

    program chief at the U.S. Department of

    Agricultures Farm Services Agency.

    John R. Pendleton Sr. 64 is a certi-

    fied public accountant in Columbia, Ky.

    Julia Cole 64 Loy died Jan. 27. She

    was a retired school teacher from the

    Adair County, Ky., school system.

    Neil Strawser 64 is retired but his

    also part owner of Parrott & Strawser

    Partner, Land Pro Development Corp.

    John Perin 64 retired from a child

    protection agency. He is involved with

    sports radio.

    Robert Bob Cotinger 67 retired

    from State Auto. He and resides in

    Nashville, Tenn.

    Charles R. Marra 67 is a business

    adviser with Fortune. He has more than

    30 years of business experience as

    owner and president of several compa-

    nies in the food and textile industries.

    1970sAlvin Shorty Rafferty 70 died

    June 26. He was a veteran of World War

    II.

    Linda Watson 72 Judd died Feb. 9.

    She had recently retired after working

    20 years at Monumental Insurance Co.Teresa Harmon 74 Scott welcomed

    her first grandchild, Jaylee Reed Fields,

    born April 8.

    Warren Dale Waddell 74 died Jan. 2.

    Phillip R. Williams 75 was inducted

    into Kentuckys 12th Region Hall of

    Fame. He was boys basketball coach at

    Casey County High School 1979-185;

    assistant coach at LWC from 1990-93;

    and assistant coach at Lincoln County

    High School from 1996-98. He hasbeen assistant coach at Casey County

    since returning there in 1999.

    Marsha Cheatham 82 Crowe is sec-

    retary to the dean at Centre (Ky.)

    College.

    A.B. Cash 82 died Feb. 24.

    Tommy K. Ross 86 is executive vice

    president and chief lending officer at

    Area Bank in Glasgow, Ky.Beth Ann Brown 88 Johnson is a

    pharmacist at Russell County (Ky.)

    Hospital.

    Rev. Lisa Snorton 89 was promoted

    to program manager at Benefits and

    Enrollment Center in Cincinnati.

    employed in the information-technology

    department at Florida State University-Panama City Campus.

    Sally Pollard 91 Kemp is employed

    ALUMNI COUNCIL CELEBRATES DR. STEPHENSONS BIRTHDAY: The summer meeting of theLindsey Wilson College National Alumni Association was a special one for one longtime mem-

    ber of the organization. Dr. Julius Stephenson celebrated his 89th birthday following the asso-

    ciations meeting, held July 15 at Mulligans, the restaurant at the Pines at Lindsey Wilson golf

    course. Stephenson, who is a 1947 LWC graduate, has maintained a longtime dental practice

    in nearby Burkesville, Ky. Joining Stephenson are LWC Alumni Director Randy Burns 93 (left)

    and LWC Alumni President Carrie L. Farris 68 of Versailles, Ky.

    Wade Squires 94 is a home health

    field nurse for an agency in Greensburg,

    Bryant reside in Bowie, Md., with theirtwo children. Jerald was promoted to

    regional director for Target, and Beverly

    is a stay-at-home mother.

    Ky., with her husband, David, and son,

    Melody Russell 96 Pollard retired

    from Adanta Behavior Health in

    December 2008. She is an associateprofessor in the LWC School of

    Ryan Beard 98 was appointed to theKentucky State Advisory Panel for

    Exceptional Children. He teaches biolo-

    gy, physical science, Earth space sci-

    ence and special education at Casey

    County High School.

    Mollie Cooper 98 Wilson is an

    accounting manager at Healthcare

    Realty in Nashville, Tenn. She and her

    husband, Corey, resident in Nashville

    with their two children: Makaila and

    Carleigh.

    Ryan 98 and Julie Cassaday 96

    McQueary have two sons: Jake and

    Jaxton. Ryan is a physical education

    teacher at Adair County Elementary and

    is Adair County High School baseball

    coach. Julie is an exceptional education

    teacher and cheerleading coach at Adair

    County (Ky.) High School.

    Susan Duncan 99 Wilton is assistant

    director for staff and student develop-ment at the University of Kentucky.

    Jay Holland 99 is director of scout-

    ing for Boy Scouts of America. Heresides in Scottsville, Ky., with his wife

    and two children.

    Joyce LaRusch 99 is a regional

    director of Benchmark Family Services.

    2000sChristina Mayfield 00 married Eric

    Dishon in May 2009. She is a school

    psychologist serving the children of

    Pulaski County, Ky., schools. She also

    serves as public relations chair forKentucky Association for Psychology in

    the schools.

    ate who now lives in Versailles, Ky.

    In addition to serving a weekday

    lunch from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. CT,

    Mulligans can be used by LWC

    alumni to hold meetings, receptionsand other gatherings.

    Loudon Ford Waterstrat 04 teaches

    middle and high school health, nutrition

    and career courses for Model

    Laboratory School at Eastern Kentucky

    University. He is also is the schools

    cross country coach. Amanda Baker 03

    Waterstrat accepted a tenure-track facul-

    ty position in EKUs department of bio-

    logical sciences.

    Frank Boyd Holloway 04 took thelong way to South Florida. Holloway

    was recently named an assistant

    mens basketball

    coach at Florida

    University.

    Golden Panthers

    compete in the SunBelt Conference, a

    13-team confer-

    ence that extends from Denver to

    FIU in Miami.

    Before being named an FIU

    coach, Holloway spent two seasons

    (2006-07 and 08-09) coaching and

    playing professionally in Switzerland

    and Germany. He was also briefly

    an assistant coach with the

    Dusseldorf Magics in the

    Bundesliga Pro-A during the 2007-08 basketball season.

    Holloway also spent a year as an

    admissions counselor at Lindsey

    Wilson College and served as an

    assistant coach on the Blue Raiders

    mens basketball team.

    From 2004-2006, Holloway was a

    graduate basketball assistant for the

    men's basketball program at Wesley

    College, an NCAA Division III pro-

    gram where LWC alumnus Jimmy

    Wentworth 58 spent 40 years asthat programs legendary coach.

    While an LWC student from 2001-

    04, Holloway was a student assis-

    tant on the mens basketball team.

    During his time at LWC, the Blue

    Raiders made consecutive trips to

    the NAIA National Tournament.

    Florida IU is Miami-Dade

    Countys first public, four-year uni-

    versity. Since opening in 1972, the

    FIU student body has grown to more

    than 39,000, making it one of the 25largest universities in America.

    TRIO ATTEND SULLIVAN COLLEGE OF PHARMACY: Three Lindsey Wilson College alumni area part of history. Joshua Spachman 09 (left), Nick Thrasher 09 and Crystal Bishop 07 are all

    members of Sullivan (Ky.) Universitys new pharmacy program. All three were biology majors

    at LWC, and because of the Sullivans innovative pharmacy program they will earn a doctorate

    in pharmacy in three years, instead of the normal four years. Bishop, who is a Magnolia, Ky.,

    native, is a member of Sullivans inaugural pharmacy class; Spachman, of Greesnburg, Ky.,

    and Thrasher, of Albany, Ky., began the program this fall. Bishop has also been elected presi-

    dent of AphA-ASP, which is the largest student organization in the Sullivan College of

    Pharmacy.

    Holly Ellis Feb. 14. He is employed at

    Green River Window and Door in

    Chris Evans 05 is in human services

    and counseling and probation officer for

    a juvenile court.

    Sara Wells 05 Strunk resides in

    Somerset, Ky., with her husband, Barry,

    and their new baby boy, Miles Fisher,

    born Feb. 10.

    Chris Innes 05 is a manager/market-

    ing analyst with eCampus.com. Sarah

    Young 05 Innes was recently promoted

    to director of marketing at EOP

    Architects. They reside in Lexington,

    Ky.

    Kristinna Marowski 05 is an adjunct

    instructor at the LWC-Scottsville

    Campus.

    Kimberly Pinson 05 Buechel is a

    proud parent of Jonah, born June 9. He

    weighed 9 pounds, 1 ounce.

    Kendra Leveridge 06 is an LWC

    admissions counselor, responsible for

    working with students from Greater

    Louisville and Northern Kentucky.

    Sarah Kirby 06 is coordinator atS.M.A.R.T. Moves in Harlan, Ky., a

    drug- and alcohol-prevention program

    designed for children. She provides

    counseling to students in elementary

    and middle schools in the county and

    independent school systems.

    John D. Kalz 06 and Loletuth Flener

    07 were married May 24. They areenrolled in Duke University Divinity

    School and reside in Durham, N.C.

    They were recently commissioned as

    ministers in The United Methodist

    Church.

    Rebecca Fugate 06 is a mental

    health therapist at Grey Counseling

    Services, LLC in Columbia.
