The Citation Mustang features the Garmin G1000 advanced avionics system, a large-format glass cockpit with integrated sensors and lightweight modular avionics. The system presents to the crew all the flight, navigation, and situational inputs as well as aircraft systems information for a precise picture of the total flying environment. Three active matrix liquid crystal displays (AMLCDs) designed with high resolution, wide viewing angles and clear sunlight readability, comprise the windows into Garmin’s sophisticated G1000 system. Complete flight system functionality and a three axis autopilot ease the workload for one or two pilots. on the G1000 PFDs. The system utilizes the powerful G1000 central flight management computer, a detailed terrain data base and precision WAAS-enhanced GPS navigation to present a synthetic virtual picture of the terrain, obstructions and the airports ahead. The presentation includes a flight path symbol showing the projected flight path

Chart View: The Chart View Option adds the ability to show approach charts, SIDs, STARs, and airport diagrams as moving maps on the Multi-Function Display (MFD). Aircraft position is graphically overlaid in the plan view format. A profile view may also be shown, and both formats may be zoomed and panned. Chart View in integrated with the FMS to automatically load charts according to the flight plan. A database subscription is required.

Traffic Advisory System: The Honeywell KTA-870 system provides traffic surveillance from 2NM to 40 NM. Up to 45 aircraft can be tracked while displaying up to 30 of the most threatening. Three levels of intruders are identified: non-threat, proximity intruder and Traffic Advisory (TA). Aural traffic advisories are issued through the aircraft audio system and visually displayed on the MFD and the PFD inset maps.

XM Radio: The XM Satellite Radio service features digital quality stereo audio of over 150 channels including news, sports, talk, and commercial free music. The system adds individual headset jacks with volume control in the sidewalls at each passenger seat. The signal is received through the GDL69A datalink weather transceiver and is available throughout the Continental U.S.. Channels may be tuned by the cockpit MFD of by the remote channel selector located in the armrest between the aft cabin seats. A subscription with XM is required.
