Revenue: The annual net revenue to all city funds was $2,691,131, down 3% from 2008. The highest revenue month of the year was March, ending with $322,135.

Citations: The highest ticket month of the year was August. There were 3,602 tickets issued during that month. The total number of citations issued for the year was 34,681, down 2% from 2008. The number of electronic citations written by the Lawrence Police Department increased from 64% in 2008 to 71% in 2009. There were 19,598 electronic citations issued throughout the year.

Parking: There were 99,091 meter tickets issued in 2009, up 7% from the 2008 total of 92,355. The average collection rate on meter tickets for the year was 63%.

Collections: Net revenue from cases submitted to Municipal Services Bureau for collections was $137,620 in 2009, up 9% from 2008. The number of cases submitted in 2009 was 6,386 and the total dollar amount of submitted cases totaled over one million. Court Operations: In 2009, Municipal Court staff processed approximately 3,487 warrants, 1,851 bonds, 316 dockets, 51,000 notices, 52,000 criminal and traffic payments, and over 61,000 meter payments. Additionally, over 6,800 new case files were created, 6,900 closed case files were scanned and over 43,000 phone calls were taken.
