Who Should Take This Course?

This online course is specifically designed for professionals and

practitioners interested in learning more about the use of the

latest neurofeedback techniques and technology. Professionals

interested in learning more about quantitative techniques used

for assessment and training to complement traditional psycho-

therapy and psychotropic interventions.

Neurofeedback Techniques & Technology Subjects.

Neurofeedback Techniques & Technology introduces the concepts of neurofeedback for 12 different

subjects in this field. The 2009-2010 course calendar was designed to help participants learn what

has been shown to work from experience and evidence-based research. Participants learn how a

specific expert uses neurofeedback for assessment

and training. Course materials are designed to

provide guidance to professionals who are new to

the use of biofeedback for the specific subjects

listed above. Each 6-hour subject is the equiva-

lent of a 1-day workshop. Subjects are broken

into 90-minute easy-to-digest lessons given once a

week for 4-weeks. Participants receive student

notes for each lesson.

Learning Objectives

Participants are expected to become familiar with

a specific application in neurofeedback and the

type of physiological data and statistics used in

clinical practice. The participant needs to know what type of equipment is typically used and the

different visual and audio feedback it provides. They will know what type of clients typically receive

the specific form(s) of neurofeedback shown in the course and some of the reasons why neurofeed-

back can be a useful adjunctive method for assessment and therapy. They will have the basic

knowledge needed to further explore the current uses and potential for neurofeedback to help their

clients.

Equipment and Internet Requirements

Online courses require the use of Internet so participants

must have access to a computer running Windows XP or

Vista with access to a high speed internet connection. A

computer headset and microphone is recommended.

Knowledge of internet software is useful but not required.

At the scheduled time, a course assistant calls you to login

to a website to get started. User friendly programs that can

be downloaded from the internet free of charge make learn-

ing easy and fun. Courses include live demonstrations of the

technology used for the specific topic covered in class.
