Two Teacher Learning Critical Pathways by June 2010 focussed OME Curriculum Explectations for Reading 1.4, 1.5, 1.6. Comprehensive Literacy Assessments. Strategies: 1. Use of assistive technology for all students, particularly those on IEPs in both the regular class program and during assessments. 2. Implement all components of reading workshop with gradual release of responsibility over the course of the TLCP 3. Student created anchor charts with student exemplars attached. 4. Student self and peer evaluation. Professional learning through participation in one moderated marking session per TLCP as well as three PLC sessions and one TLN session.

Specific

There will be a 5% increase in the number of students in the primary and junior divisions achieving level 3 and 4 in OEM Curriculum Expectations 1.4; 1.5; 1.6 in Reading.

Measurable

Progress will be measured during two cycles of Pre and Post TLCP Assessment data; Comprehensive Assessment data; QCA data and supported by the primary and junior EQAO assessments in May 2010; and CAT 3 Results for Grade 2 and Grade 5.
