    ISOBUS test

What it is: The official test of a component (software + hardware) for compliance to

    the latest ISOBUS implementation level

Result: Certificate ISOBUS 20xx conform Added to www.isobus.net

Idea behind: Only compliant components make ISOBUS work in practice No free use of the term ISOBUS compatible

    ISOBUS test

Advantage for the manufacterer Commercial: Customer confidence + marketing argument Legal/Safety: all possible measures taken to ensure proper functioning Service:chances of failure limited to minimum

  • 5But they still need lunch

    Organization today

Initiative of VDMA (German federation of manufacterers) AEM (US federation of manufacterers) IGI, NAIITF (user groups)

Done by independent testing institute DLG (German agricultural association)

    Contents of the test

described in Test Protocol. maintained by IGI, NAIITF and others Updated continuously (certificate states year of testing)

    Hints for developers

Have VTs and components available for developers Use of mask generator tool that usually produces correct code Electronics components: reuse, so no big issue (TBC, connectors,

cables Others terminals / ECUs In house use of P-convert: buy at DLG Plugfests Finish software prior to testing: new software = new testing procedure
