    DAY HIKES

    All day hikes meet with volunteer hike leaders at 9 a.m. at the Carmel Valley

    Coffee Roasting Company in the Barnyard Shopping Village (one block north

    of BSLTs office at 126 Clock Tower Place, Carmel). Dress appropriately for

    hiking and weather conditions. Bring ample water and a bag lunch. Hikes

    cancelled in the event of severe rain and/or weather. Please RSVP for all

    outings to 831.625.5523, ext. 1.

    MITTELDORF PRESERVE

    One of our areas best kept secrets is theMitteldorf Preserve, a 1,100-acre redwoodpreserve with trails that will suit hikers of levels. Whether you are looking for an easstroll along Williams Creek or a strenuoushike along the ridges, Mitteldorf Preservewill surpass your expectations!

    GLEN DEVEN RANCH

    The 860-acre ranch offers an inspirationaland very enjoyable experience to visitors.Options include a moderate 2.5-mile walkon a coastal ridge featuring incredible viewor a more strenuous hike. The more strenuoption includes the ridge and then continuwith 4 miles of hiking along the redwood-lGarrapata Creek.

    PALO CORONA RANCH

    Through special permission of MontereyPeninsula Regional Park District, you areinvited to visit the northern portion of this10,000-acre ranch which is a hikers paradEnjoy a moderate 5-mile hike to InspiratioPoint continuing on to an overlook of San Creek canyon. Incredible views seen from upper elevations on this hike will make youphill climbs worthwhile.

    ARROYO SECO RANCH

    1,674-acre Arroyo Seco Ranch includesroughly two miles of the Arroyo Seco Rive

    and supports one of the best examples of insycamore forests in the state. The river is tprimary tributary for spawning and rearinof steelhead trout in the Salinas River systePrepare for 3 to 5 mile hikes. Be sure to bryour swim suits to take a dip in the one of few remaining un-dammed, free-flowing riof the Central Coast.

    POINT LOBOS RANCH

    Joining us for a walk on Point Lobos Rancis an opportunity for a sneak peek of a futustate park. This short and easy walk winds

    along San Jose Creek and features beautifuwildflowers and majestic redwoods.

    MARKS RANCH

    Located along Highway 68, just 3.6 milessouthwest of Salinas, the 816-acre ranch femajestic sycamores, expansive oak woodlameadows, dense grasslands and gently rollhills that merge into the northern slopes ofSierra de Salinas mountain range. During ymoderate 4.5-mile hike, you will experiencsome of the most scenic areas of both Mar
