Hello from Kaharlyk, Ukraine! Though this year seemed like it was filled to capacity, as we look back it was a great year and we are truly happy serving God in the city of Kaharlyk. The biggest thing that filled our schedules this year was purchasing a house in Kaharlyk. We spent most of the summer filling out paper-work at all the local utility companies and doing a pretty extreme remodel. We had to redo all the electricity, connect water to the house from the well, rework the floor plan, install a bathroom, redo the heating – and those are just the major things. We finished most of it in September and moved in October 1st. Since then we have been working little by little remodeling and splitting our time between remodel and ministries. It has been great to have a place of our own and though it has taken a lot more time than we had originally thought it will be well worth it in the long run. This year we are looking forward to having more time to give ourselves to various minis-tries. One of our main goals in Kaharlyk is to disciple and train the leaders in our church. This year we have seen a lot of growth in those serving in our church and we have also seen that there are many areas of teaching and disciple-ship that are still needed as our church grows and seeks to impact Kaharlyk and the surround-ing villages with the gospel. We are seeking God as to the best way to spread the gospel in nearby villages and are hoping this year to start at least one home bible study either in Stavy or in Sloboda. We are waiting on God's timing as well as the right people to start these. There is too much to write in just one letter, but we hope that this will give you a glimpse of what God is doing in Ukraine, how He is working in our lives, and that you would be encouraged.
