07Softball – Head Coach
Andy Lee
After having served as headcoach at Canton Academy, CoachAndy Lee joined the Athletics staffof Hinds Community College in2000 as a pitching coach of theEagles’ baseball team. In 2005,he was named head coach for theLady Eagles fast-pitch softballteam.
As the baseball pitching coach, Coach Lee led theEagles’ pitchers to many school records. In 2002, theEagles’ pitchers led the nation in “team earned run aver-age,” tallying a 2.37 mark. Also in 2002, the Eagles’ pitch-ers broke the team record for strikeouts, producing anunprecedented number of 368 strikeouts for the durationof regular season play. During his four years as theEagles’ pitching coach, nine of Coach Lee’s playersreceived scholarships to four-year colleges and universi-ties.
Coach Lee attended Woodland Hills Academy. He wenton to play baseball for Hinds Community College, DeltaState University, and the Boston Red Sox Organization.Coach Lee is currently working on his master’s degree ineducaiton at Jackson State University.
In 1996, while attending Hinds Community College,Coach Lee met his wife, Leslie, when she was a memberof the Lady Eagles’ softball team. They have two children,Logan anad Alayna Brooks.
