Memo To: All Supervised Visitation Non-Residential par~sFrom: Connie Sanchez, Safe Visit Administrator 1 1 .-Regarding: Reminder of Policy Guidelines C .Date: 11-6-06

The mission of the Safe Visit program is to offer children a safe neutral environment so

they can experience positive parental contact when 3 ,d party intervention is needed.

In order to ensure the child has the opportunity for the highest comfort level possible,

parties are to refrain from making conunents regarding the status of court; child in need

of care hearings, divorce proceedings, protection /no contact orders or criminal matters.Parents should also not discuss matters related to mental health, chemical dependency

treatment, or detailed medical procedures.

In addition, parents should not make promises regarding the modification of parenting

time or reference future living arrangements.

Negative comments/questions regarding the other parent, extended family members, or

significant other is also considered an inappropriate form of communication.

Please refrain from putting your child in the. middle of adult conflicts, or asking your

child to give or pass on information as they are not a messenger between the parents. If you have questions regarding the contact/communication you have with your child,

please speak with staff privately for clarification. If you need to cancel a visit, rearrange

your visit schedule, or have questions about payment court etc. please speak with staff

privately regarding your concern/question.

The visit is intended to be.a time when you and your children can play, stay connected by

sharing feelings and day- to day activities and to have fun.,

Thank you for your cooperation.
