2004 season preview SDTecPlCoach Doug Tabbert's comments

about the upcoming season:

"The early challenge for us is to establish a team identity as quickly as we can. Thatis even more important this year with the addition of so many new players.

We will look to Leslie Weber, our lone senior, and Rebekah Cornelia, our lone junior,to provide leadership and a sense of stability. They both recognize the importance ofthat, and Leslie in particular is eager to meet that need. Both had solid springs, andwe expect them to play well this fall.

We have several newcomers who should provide immediate contributions. JenniferMarkoff has had significant setting experience at both the high school and club level.Kali Olson is a multi-time All-State team member who is a powerful offensive threat.Jennie Malone, another former All-State honoree, should greatly help our team ballcontrol.

We have a number of people who can contribute to our success. It is critical thateveryone on our roster recognizes their potential to do that and then commits to theirrespective roles. If that happens, we can be significantly improved over last year."
